Works well with my garage roller shutters. Problem is the plastic buttons eventually snap off after a couple of years use. This has happened to 2 of 3 I have bought so far. On the original red versions of this from 20+ years ago the plastic that connected the buttons was stronger so didn't break. So basically this design works but is a cheaper design and less durable than the old skool. ones.
