If I got pulled over and a cop saw the bag and asked to look in it would he need a search warrant?

ok here is how it is in nj and im guessing most other states..you have to give consent 4 cops to search ur car or anything in it unless they have probable cause (im not sure if a cop saying he smells weed counts as probable cause anywhere but I feel like cops would lie and say they smell it way more often if it did count-but thats just me). anyway-so yea in general u have to give consent. What usually happens tho is that let's say you told them no because u have weed in the car and its illegal in your state (not in mine! haha) so obvi you dont want them finding that. They can just go "ok well then we will just call 4 the canine unit and if the dogs indicate that they detect any certain smell (illegal drugs, a bomb...whatever they smell 4 i guess) then we have probable cause to search" so they just get the dogs and theyve been caught making the dogs fake indicate 4 drugs just so they could search a car but also if you have drugs in there the dogs will indicate 4 it by sticking their nose to the window or watever the sign is. IT's funny cuz I was going to ask my own question here "is it smell proof to dogs as well?".
