Bar's Leaks 1630 Power Steering Stop Leak - 11 oz,Grey

2002 4Runner with 203k with a leaking steering rack. I got a quote to replace and decided to give this a try. Had low fluid so I was able to add the whole bottle. Within a week all the leaks subsided and have not reappeared. What a great product. Saved me some serious money

My '68 Cadillac's Power Steering BOX started leaking and I didn't want to spend time or $$$ on getting it replaced. Not yet. I figured this could buy me some time. Sure enough, the leak has slowed down quite a bit. I've driven a pretty fair amount miles (over a 100) w/out draining the pump and having to fully refill. For the price, it does what I need. I'll get the box repaired later this year...or...maybe later. Now, this Cadillac isn't a daily driver and it will all depend on how much you drive and how bad your leak really is. No, it won't repair a pressure hose or a crack in the pump etc. I believe it's good for expanding dried out, worn seals and it's thickness helps with "slowing down" the drain out of those seals.

Not a permanent fix but it did exactly what I needed it to do. The leak slowed way down after a few days and that annoying whining sound from the pump basically disappeared. For a few bucks it's worth throwing in before committing to a full repair.

WONDERFUL

Worked well for me. Aging power steering rack and pinyon end seals were leaking on a 2011 Buick with low mileage. Cost to replace was $1200 on a little used car. This was the proper solution.
