So many details! My 6 year old son loves this book. It has great kitty pictures with over 170 fact-filled pages. This one will be in rotation for a while, it's simple enough for him to read on his own, but fun to read together. Now my son observes our kitty's signals like a pro.

A lovely little volume, aimed at a younger audience but certainly both pleasing and informative for adult readers seeking clues about what's going on in their beloved felines' heads. The information presented here is, by the nature of its fickle subjects, not always conclusive, but I think the book provides a good starting point for 'reading' your cat. It does, however, not exactly teach you to 'speak' cat. I assume no one but the very youngest customers would expect to learn how to converse in meows, but I would have liked a little more advice about how my own behavior, facial expressions, body language, etc. are read by a cat. Still, I learned a lot, and the message that runs like a red thread through this book is certainly an important and valuable one for cat enthusiasts of all ages: you can gently train your cat and correct some disruptive behaviors, but in the end, you have to be willing to love them for what—and who—they are.

It helps you understand why your cat does the things it does, and helps you understand your own cat better. Your relationship with you cat will be greatly improved after reading this book, and finding out what those secret signals your cat gives you really mean. Highly recommended.

I own this book and I have bought some to give a gifts. Everyone loves it as much as I did. This book is has new facts about cats and is so interesting. This may be the best animal book I have read. Highly recommend for any animal lover, not just cat lovers.

I bought How To Speak Cat for my son who has two young kittens. I have a mangy old rescue cat, so I read through it at least three times before I gave the book to him. Communication with my cat has improved considerably because of insights from the book. I now recognize the difference in her walk when she wakes me in the morning to know if she wants company or food. A certain stare tells me she wants a second helping at feeding time, and a different one tells me she wants to jump up and sit next to me. All thanks to the book!
