No. Both motors run forward or reverse together only.

Joseph, i tried it on a 29 foot pontoon but was less than pleased with the performance. considerably less than 2 hrs endurance with new batteries and calm lake conditions. if you look on youtube you will find a few electric conversions with two smaller motors together and the owners were pleased but their expectations were considerably less than mine. i think they were 50% throttle for several hours but were only making a distance of seven miles or so. sorry that was not right on point. good luck, bob

thinking of putting it on my 23' Hydra sport bay bolt..Too much boat ?

No. This unit is big. Lots of power. Great for trolling. Requires a 24 volt install (2 batteries wired together). My boat is 21'. Downsides- reverse not as effective, creates a little drag/spray under outboard power. Overall we really like it.
