Great camera, worths its $50!
This little camera is a hidden gem on Amazon. I found it because of a youtuber reviewing the camera when installing it in his sonata. I liked his review and how the camera seemed to fulfill his expectations as to price and quality after trying a cheaper one. I compared it to my boyfriend's car camera and this little thing is superior in every way: Neat picture and even in the darkness with little light you can see everything and the spectrum is much wider than other cams too. INSTALLATION: The manual says how to install it but since this was my very first time making electrical connections I was really lost and took me 8 hours to do it. It was not the manual's fault but my lack of experience which made it really difficult and I also do not have any knowledge of mechanics, being a 30 year old woman, although I have done complete touchscreen radio installation and changed a few relays and fusibles but I have never touched car lights before LOL and it was greek to me but once I did it I realized it was the easiest thing, you just need the time and patience to do it correctly. HOW TO DO IT: Anyways, my advice is to watch a lot of youtube videos and installation guide pics and diagrams online and then get to know your car wiring, of course. Most of backup cameras have the same principle and this one is not an exception. First, place your car in reverse and ask someone to identify the reverse light while doing it to be sure of its location. Then, disconnect your positive of your car battery to avoid any accidents. I ALWAYS do this when working with wiring. Dont take chances for your safety and your car's. Third, plug in the connectors of the camera after installing it on the back of your vehicle according to your car model by following the diagram of the manual and MAKE SURE TO attach the red wires from the yellow and red connectors to the positive wire of one of your backup lights (in my case it was a blue wire and the black one was the ground but every car might be different). Finally, take the video wiring (yellow connector with red wire) to the front of the vehicle and connect it to monitor or rear mirror if you have that. I have to warn you that the yellow video connector and its attached red wire are to be connected it to the radio(behind) and to its backup wire (placed behind your radio as well), otherwise when in reverse, the camera will not work and you might think it does not work at all lol :). Now, how do you place your camera in your car and unassemble the backup light to connect the wires depend of your car model so look it up on google or YouTube. Another thing, we put the wiring together and the soldered and taped it, this gives a much better picture quality than just connect it and tape it up. CONS but no so much: The camera does not have embedded lights thus the clarity will depend on your car and the street lights BUT with just a little you can see everything, trust me. My solution was to change my car backup lights bulbs for aftermarket led ones (additional $13 in total) and now the quality is even better but even without them is impressive so it's not a big deal. The camera wiring was long enough for my sonata 2012 but you can buy an extra extension here on the ad as well, I did not get to use it and Im returning it but you can check your vehicle lenght. The camera does not bring a remote control which helps to set the parking guides or lines excellently. I bought it here too, it's not expensive and it's very helpful, so I recommend you buy it. I'm not sure if it should be included but the camera is really good compared to the cheaper ones that do not have one either. The remote is to be connected to the rest of connectors firsthand, you can set the camera up and once completed then take the remote out and hide connections in the car as you will only need the remote this one time. One more thing, the camera brings a support system that you can attach to one of your plate lights outside plastic but I decided to adapt it and drill it to make the camera fits perfectly. This is not necessary, I did it to secure it more. In general, very satisfied. I have installed it a day ago and tested it out for two days alone but it promises good things :) PS: the pic Im posting was taken at night without any other lights than the original ones of my car which were changed to leds afterward thus you can see the quality is still excellent without them.

Excellent replacement for 2016 Civic OEM camera
After 5 years the original camera on the Civic became cloudy to the point it was unusable. A replacement costs $150. I got this camera, mounted it next to the original and took the video, ground and power wires and cut them off the Civic camera and attached to this camera. On the Civic there are some wires that I think communicate with the head unit so I left them all in place. Now when I reverse the head unit gets video from this camera instead. Picture quality is better than the OEM ever was and my mounting/wiring strategy worked perfectly. Cool thing is if this camera ever wears out (they all eventually will, they're exposed to the weather) it will be a very easy replacement.

Nice Camera But Not Completely HD
This camera offers a variety of features including, angle adjustment, multi-view, guide-line adjustment, etc. The wide-angle is really neat and useful. The only thing I'm not as impressed with is its resolution. It says HD but my previous aftermarket camera was way clearer (too bad it quit working after only a year). Overall, I think it's a good camera and does the job. How long will it last is yet to be determined :)

Works well for my use case
I installed this on my 2000 Ford Excursion primarily to help me backup and hookup my boat. Install was pretty easy. I stole power and the backup switch from my corner reverse backup light. All the included wires were plenty long enough to run from my hitch area all the way to my 10" Android radio. I mounted the camera to the top of my license plate frame. I would have preferred mounting it higher but this angle gets the job done and was an easy hookup. I really like all the different camera angles and the overall brightness at night seems more than adequate. It's too early to tell how it will weather the external elements long term but so far I really like the camera and can recommend it.

Good, but didn't last- UPDATE 8/4/21 2nd UPDATE 8/4/21
UPDATE 2- 8/5/21: Went back to the rv today and before getting up on a ladder to mount it with my bad knee, I thought I would check it one more time. Everything was still connected to the monitor, so I just turned it on. Image appeared for a few minutes, then got the "no signal" blue screen--UGH!! Double checked all the connections, and all were good. Total uptime for this replacement camera was about a half hour. Played around with it for a while, and no go. Both went into the trash! UPDATE 8/4/21: The seller sent me a replacement camera at a 99% discount. I tested it by connecting directly to the monitor, and it worked fine, so I am upgrading my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. I injured my knee and am having surgery, so I won't be able to permanently install and use the camera for a while. Once I do, and have a chance to use it, I will update my review and rating again. ORIGINAL POST: I bought this to use on the back of a motorhome in May, 2021, but couldn't install it right away because I had misplaced one of the adapters. I found it, and hooked up the camera temporarily to check out the resolution and features. It seemed to work pretty well so I proceeded to install it. We haven't used the motorhome since, but I've started it up a couple of times, and the last time the camera stopped working. Just a blue screen with the message "no signal". I checked all the connections, and everything was properly connected and tight. I also checked continuity of each pin with an ohm meter, and all checked ok. I then tried a different camera to verify the display was ok, which it was. I am really disappointed, as I really liked this while it lasted.

Now with mirror image for use in front of vehicle
This was a great 180+ degree camera previously, but didn't work well in front because image was reversed right to left. This version fixes that problem, so it can easily be used both front and back. In ten years cameras this good will probably be mandatory on vehicles. It can take a while to get used to the perspective from the camera, but after you do you won't run into anyone walking close to the back side of your vehicle. With two of these cameras properly mounted in front and in back, you can park an inch from a curb or wall on either end of your vehicle.

I'm a real person
Highly recommended. I'm very happy. Nice wide angle, small lightweight build, have not had it long enough to rate longevity but it seems adequate. I had purchased one designed for rv's because it was a nice solid build, but the angle was not wide enough to see my whole bumper. I have this wired to a pioneer stereo in a 2003 silverado 2500hd.

My picture quality was not good at all.
Don't know if mine is defective or if the video quality normally looks grainy and washed out. I want to love this camera for all it can do (even bought the separate wired remote), but I can't get over the grainy washed out picture. It's like its white balance is too high, very little color compared to my 3 other echomaster cameras. I use this as a front mount. When I look into the lense, I see what looks like a scratch, but its inside the lense. I don't know if that's supposed to be there for some kind of filtering- who knows, but i live with it till I get another brand.

great viewing angle
Replaced my front camera with this one after having Parkvisions other camera installed. it is larger and has a different mounting device however the viewing angle is much much improved. The quality is not excellent but it is same or better than most of the similar priced alternatives. The quality of video is more than sufficient for parking day or night. I would recommend it. I was also able to retain most of the cabling from the other parkvision camera so only installed the camera and secondary cabling that connected to the cables that ran from the battery and into the cab through the firewall.

Bellissima

Annoying gridlines
I paid an installer to hook this up so no comment on install other than he said he had to add extra cabling. Picture quality is good, not great. Certainly not as good as my 2019 Ram camera. Unable to remove annoying grid lines that line up to nothing / cannot be adjusted. The JVC head unit has gridlines which can be adjusted as well so I end up with 2 sets of gridlines if I leave the JVC lines on there.
