PERFECT for an RV bathtub
We ordered this to use in our RV bathtub to try and keep the water from escaping around the shower curtain. Anyone who has ever used an RV shower knows you have to be really quick and use the shower wand to direct the spray of water efficiently or you will run out of hot water because you only have a 8 gallon onboard hot water tank. With all this fast spray and soap stop spray etc water invariably gets out of the shower curtain and down the wall. This can be disastrous for an RV water damage is hugely costly and can be nearly impossible to fix in an RV. We were a little worried this would be a little too big for the tiny RV bathtub but we were pleasantly surprised that it was PERFECT in size and shape. It was very easy to install with the included glue and only took a few minutes. We have used it for about a year on a regular basis and have had no problems whatsoever and NO leaks! Even when the RV is out of level this still works wonderfully. When we get a new RV this will always be one of our first upgrades. Now I'm going to buy another set for the kids bathroom in the house. Such a simple product and so effective. All bathtubs should come with one! Pros - easy to install -everything you need is included - fits RV bathtubs or home bathtubs -keeps all the water in the tub and OFF the floor -directs the water back into the tub so it doesn't puddle in the corner. Cons- I should have bought one sooner

I love these!
Initially, I bought just one set because really I only needed one guard for each shower, and they were opposite to each and one would work. I was afraid they would be unsightly and wanted as little impact as possible. Not only did they blend in just fine, but they worked so well I bought another set so I could have them at both ends in both showers when I realized water still gets on the floor. Installation is easy, unless you're fussy. I'll get to that, but first, my best suggestion is that before you install them, take a nail file of something and make sure the edges that will be attached to the tub and wall are flat. The molding process leaves ridges in a few places, and the more even you can make, the more easily and better they will install and seal. It seems silly, but it's worth the few minutes when you're going to want then to stay put for a long time. They come with a tube of silicone adhesive, so after they're prepped, you can put them in. As for being fussy, most people are happy to squish on the silicone and slap it into place. That will work, but it won't be pretty. You're working with three axes of position and you want everything to be straight and level. Squeeze on a good ribbon of silicone on both edges so that when you put it in place, there is enough that it will squish out to seal over grout lines and such and allow you to make sure you have good contact both horizontally and vertically, and it's straight upright. Then hold it gently in place so you don't move it, and smooth the silicone at the edges to make sure there are no gaps, especially on the shower side. I did not do this well with my first set and managed to get some mildew growing under it. My dad always said to do it right the first time and you won't have to do it a second time. Of course, if you find you didn't do a good job, dental floss makes a great silicone saw. Just sayin'...

A surprisingly useful product that I was very happy to have
This is one of those products that once you have it, you don't understand why you didn't all along. This really does a nice job of keeping excess water in the tub from showers. It is large enough to really create a barrier (larger than you might expect) but not so large that it blocked access to the tub or causes you to trip. The inner curve in its design also helps guide the excess water back towards the inside lip of the tub so you won't have a puddle forming there either. The only downside is the initial frustration of installation. Because of the angles of the splash guards, the angles of the walls and sides of your own tub, and the fact that these are essentially two pieces of mass-produced plastic, you are going to have to position the guards just right before letting them set and dry. As you will have to do all of this in a likely cramped space and while inhaling truly vile smelling fumes from the provided sealant, this makes for an unpleasant experience. I consider it worth it in the long run, but installation was definitely irritating. After the initial annoyances of installation, this is a great product and I have been happy with it for several years. It really does what it is supposed to.

Water is no match for these guards.
In my "spoon test" video, I take a giant spoon and direct the full water pressure from the tub faucet directly at the splash guard. The water follows the guard right back into the tub. Amazing! And it even works for actual showers. No more worries about water damaging the floor. Imagine that. The pieces are sturdy and well-made, nice and clear, the instructions are great, and they include plenty of adhesive in the package. I only sanded a few of the rough edges on the guard first and then made sure my tub was clean beforehand, common sense things really. Beyond this, I'm completely satisfied. I'll look forward to seeing how the guard holds up over the long term. But for now, these guards have really made a splash! As a side note, I installed the guard on a tub whose edge curves outward. I had to angle it slightly to allow for the curve of the tub, but it was a piece of cake. As you can see from the video, it works quite well.

Excellent Product, Easy To Install, Works As Advertised
I bought these for their intended purpose - to prevent and stop splash and spill-overs from the tub when in use. These work best with tubs that have a ledge 4 inches or wider and need to be installed with the tip of the lower, curved arm at the inside edge of the tub (otherwise splashes won't flow back into the tub and instead out onto your floor.) These also work best with tubs that have completely square, 90 degree corners; however, these are also usable with rounded corners. My tub has rounded corners; all you have to do is carefully and patiently add and build-up extra silicone between the guard and the tub wall. Make sure you allow the guard to sit parallel and flush to the tub ledge, do your gap filling between the guard and wall. If you do this than your guard will be properly and best installed and work exactly how a splash guard should. These guards do come with a tube of silicone adhesive/sealant, which is actually a quality contractor grade product (make sure to use in a well ventilated room and exercise safety) and you get more than you will need. The splash guards were a high quality, quarter-inch thick clear acrylic. Try not to hit, bump, or yank on the guards after they have been installed - silicone is flexible and isn't a permanent adhesive.

Best function, value and appearance
Function - I bought these splash guards for the curved form that channels the water back into the tub. I have no experience with straight guards but figure with them water on the rim of the tub is as likely to flow off to the floor as back into the tub. Value - This product provides two splash guards, one for each side of the tub. Value - This product includes high quality sealant. No need for a separate purchase. Appearance - The clear plastic matches the shower curtain and avoids the almost certain mismatch of new white plastic on an old "white" tub. Installation note: Fortunately my tub rim to wall angles are true right (90*) angles. It is best to confirm this before applying the sealant by dry fitting the guards. Had my angles not been close to 90*, I would have adjusted the guards with a mill file or belt sander to better fit the tub/wall angle.

Adhesive was questionable
I felt like this was easy to install. I added problems a pencil width of adhesive to the appropriate places. I let it dry for well beyond the 12 hours suggested. It worked perfectly at first. I would say the kids took about 14 showers. Then I noticed the area that sticks to the ledge portion of the tub was wiggly, and water was pooled on the floor. Perhaps use more adhesive? Not sure. I felt like I used an ample amount. At this point Iโm unsure how to fix it. Perhaps Iโll put more on the outer areas, instead of attempting to pull it off the tub, and start over.

Don't wait, these are great
For years i've been dealing with water on the floor after a shower. I used to think that the shower curtain, not being positioned right was the cause. The actual cause was that the tub slopes on a slight angle toward the floor on the end of the tub where the drain is. The longer the shower, the more water on the floor. I bought this because of the reviews and the high rating for splash guards. When I first opened it, my first impression was how large it was. Installation was easy enough with the supplied silicone adhesive. Although where my tub meets the wall is not a perfect right angle, I was able to build it out enough to fill the gap to make a water tight seal. Once the silicone cured, the guard was really on there good, its not going anywhere. Then the test, I took a shower and not one drop of water on the floor. There was a lot of water pooling where the guard stopped it and was draining back into the tub. I can't believe how well this works and I should not have waited years before addressing this problem. The kit comes with guards for the front and back of the tub but I only installed the one in the front because the back is not a problem. Even though my first impression was that it was too large, once installed, the installation looks clean and the tapered shape helps to keep it from being a problem getting in or out of the tub. I think it good that its clear because it gives the impression that the area is more open than it is with the guard on it. I couldn't be happier with my dry floor. If you have the same problem, don't wait like I did, get these today.
