Beautiful
They work pretty good. Sometimes they stick. What I did was brush a generous amount of cornstarch in the mold before the fondant. The lettering is beautiful.

I love Tappits! They can be difficult to use if you've never used them before because the individual letters are quite small and thin. I roll out my gumpaste very thin, rub the surface with a touch of a 50/50 mix of powdered sugar and cornstarch, then let it sit for a few minutes to "surface dry" before cutting. If I don't do this, it's difficult to "tap it" out of the cutter. My writing with frosting is pretty awful so these help me to not ruin my cakes by writing on them free hand!

They work wonderfully. I love the fancy script. And are smaller than the ones I have. Can get stuck in or letters disform. But I can't imagine without it. Pricey tho

Update of these and the upper case
I don't like these. They are one long strip which makes it difficult to cut individual letters, if that were possible. The fondant is impossible to use with these. I would like to get a refund. I do not recommend. Update: Ok guys. I tried again. This time, I made the fondant very thin and cut sections small enough for individual letter. I cut by pressing down and moving from side to side. They worked! Yay! They are so thin that I had to let them dry out a little so they will hold their shape. I might try adding a little tylose powder to strengthen the fondant, but right now, drying them a bit works.😊

Love Love Love Tappits
When I first stared working with Tappits I was as frustrated as most of you are. I watched videos on YouTube to help master the skill that helped a bit but I was still frustrated. I knew that there had to be a secret since they are used so widely around the world. Now that I have found the secret I am in love with them I want to put writing on everything I do. The secret - read the directions. I thought I had read the instructions but I must have skipped the part where it says that the gum paste or fondant needs to be so thin that you can place it on top of the instructions and read them. So I thought I'd give it a try. I pulled out my pasta machine and set it to six. Put the fondant through and ended up with an almost paper thin sheet of fondant. Put this on my card table (by the way this is the best place I have found when working with fondant and gumpaste) and pressed it down slightly. I then cut out my letters. Pulled off the excess and let them sit for about an hour. Because it was so thin they dried really quickly and could easily be removed and added to the plaque going on my cake. Give them a try they are very fun and add a professional finish to your cake, cookies or other projects.

Waste of money
These are impossible to use. I tried both fondant and gumpaste. The actual letter is so thin and small, you can't get it out of the cutter without it being destroyed. I read the other reviews for tips...tried making the gum paste thinner, harder, etc. They were still nearly impossible to use. Waste of money.

Beautiful lettering on my cakes!
These worked for both my daughter & my son's cakes. The letters are about 1.5 inches & fit nicely on a gum paste ribbon on both cakes. I used gum paste to make them & rolled it thin. I used shortening so it wouldn't stick & I "smacked" the edge of the plastic stick on the table, when the letters stuck a little to the cutter. Other letters stayed on the rolling mat & I used a tooth pick to remove excess paste form around the letters & let them dry for a few minutes before I moved them. Everyone was impressed with how the letters looked. Watch some directional videos on youtube. Good Luck!

Thanks!
Received the product (it was as described) and in a timely manner...thanks! Did my research on the product and, while it does take trial & error, it works after you get the hang of it. I use it my own way, which works for me, and I usually do not roll my fondant out thin for this. I roll it a bit thicker, do the impression and leave it to sit about 30 minutes before removing the excess from around the letters. I find that the thickness works better for me (shaky hands lol) so removing the excess with thin fondant would usually mess up the letters and I would have to redo them.

Nul
Nul... Car les chiffres et les lettres sont toutes accrochés les uns aux autres du coup on ne peut pas écrire de mot ni de phrases. On est obligé de faire lettre par lettre et de les coller au fur et a mesure. Nul...

PERFECT!!
First time use produced no problems, used a touch of tylo powder, roll paper thin, leave a few mins then press, cut, and tap out, perfect... I don't understand why people are having difficulties, the reviews worried me before use but I needn't of bothered, perfect!!!

Love the style of script.
Sturdy plastic and well defined edges on each letter so it gives a clean finish to each letter. Sizing of the letters is perfect to add your titles to your baking products.
