No more grinding. Smooth as butter!
The MOOG 513179 Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly is an exceptional replacement part for my 2012 Chevrolet Impala. From quality to performance, this unit exceeded expectations and delivered a noticeable improvement over the worn factory component. Right out of the box, the build quality stands out. MOOG is known for durable chassis components, and this wheel bearing and hub assembly feels like a premium unit. The metalwork is solid, tolerances are tight, and the seals are robust — all of which give confidence that this part is designed for long-term service even under demanding driving conditions. Installation was straightforward. The assembly fit precisely into the factory mounting points on the Impala without the need for modification or persuasion. Everything lined up as expected, which made the process smoother and quicker than some aftermarket hubs I’ve worked with in the past. On the road, the difference was immediate. The front end feels more stable and quiet. Gone are the subtle noises and vibration that had been coming from the old, worn bearing. With the new MOOG 513179 installed, steering feels more refined and there’s a solid sense of control at highway speeds and around corners. The wheel spins smoothly with no perceptible play — exactly what you want from a hub assembly. Whether you’re replacing a failed bearing or proactively upgrading, the MOOG 513179 is a reliable, well-engineered choice that brings back smooth, quiet operation to your 2012 Chevy Impala’s front end. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality OEM-equivalent replacement.

Moog is still high quality.
Moog is still the best product for the money. Fit perfectly on my 2006 Chevy Impala SS.

Dont buy moog. Junk bearings
Junk bearings. Installed fine, not even 2 months of normal driving and abs light is now on. And theres a slight humming above 40 mph, which will get worse and become a roar. Ill change it out for another brand when the weather warms. No more moog, moog products are junk now. Update… 4 months in and bearing is roaring very loud, worst than the old bearing i took out. Absolutely trash product. Never buying moog again

Moog has always been great
Easy to install, quality material, looks nice compared to the old beat up wheel bearing hub assembly, it was a smooth process installing these on a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, it improved the noise level, & corrected the main issue of the wheel speed sensor that was bad & running a muck of the ABS & Traction Control systems. Everything is working great now and the price is pretty good for a high quality Moog sealed hub assembly.

Good units
I liked the quality of the MOOG hub-bearing assembly. I torqued all fasteners and used red lock thread on the hub and caliper bracket bolts. Torqued the spindle nut to 118 pounds. It takes considerable labor to do this job on one's driveway. It is a little scary to see the negative reviews of early failures too. The units I uninstalled obviously did not have the spindle nut torqued. So it was obvious why the replaced units were failing. I replaced the old bearings due to excessive play in the bearing. The new units have no extra play.
