How many perforations per inch?

I cut a strip and measured: there are 7 perforations per inch; Most of the paper is cut, the part not cut is very very small compared to the part that is cut. Basically, the cutter wheel has 7 notches per inch on the wheel. The tiny notches don't cut.

Is this tool can use as HandyScore when i score to cardboard box ?

I bought mine March 2020 and I have used it many times on cardboard to kind of score where I want to cut, I do have to go over it with a knife because the teeth are only so long but it has been helpful to me.

how straight does it cut? if I’m going along the full length of a sheet is it hard to keep a straight line without using a straight edge?

Handy perforation

Handy perforation for small runs. Works good

How did I manage before now?

I don't know how I managed without a Olfa Perforating Cutter before now. The cutter is about the length of a pencil and the width of a soup spoon, with small cutting blades separated around the wheel and shielded with a sliding cover. When you pull back the cover, you then just roll it along the line to be perforated. Quick and easy to use. The tool is well made and sturdy, and I have found I can use it to cut three or four sheets of copy paper at the same time. Great value for money for my needs and I've used it more and more over time.
