Great card this is my second time I bought this card, not necessarily from this seller can't remember where I got the first card. I am using it in a brand new non-HP ZFS system. My old card in my old non-HP ZFS system is 4-5 years old and still running flawlessly, never a hiccup. Just time to build a new ZFS system. Using what worked reliably for me again. Firmware/Bios is 1.08 on the card I got, flashed it to 2.10C the latest version. You can do this with any HBA you do not need an HP one. Check the web for details and to get the latest BIOS.

Its an Expansion card for a controller (facepalm) had i known that i wouldnt have bought it ..eh..thats what happens when you rely on just the titles and not looking up part id at manufacturer befor ordering

Bought this after buying PCI-X controllers that would not support anything over 2 tb drives. Currently I am using this with a LSI SAS 9205-8i PCIe SAS HBA and it's working great so far, and no issues running my 4TB drives.

put this in my freenas machine and it all says it working till it gets to the nas os its installed on cant see the drives

Replaced a failed Chenbro model. Really nice stuff -- dual inputs, just plug and play and been running reliably for over a month now.

Works great with non hp raid cards like an areca 1880i

Even came with extra cables.
