Thick Oil for Warm Climate or Higher Engine Temperatures
Very convenient to get 6 quarts at a time for my older Ford Truck. Unlike some 20W-50 oils, this oil starts out much thicker. My 302 (5.0L) older roller cam follower engine normally gets 10W oil for summer/fall, and 5W-20 for Winter. In the desert heat of California, it this oil flows great, engine is nice and quiet. I had to change back to a lighter oil though, because in the Fall months of the Pacific Northwest, this oil takes too long to flow well, making the valve train a bit noisey until warmed up. Some mechanics in my area recommended going to a thicker oil such as this for my old truck, but it was not a good idea because it made lifter noise worse and also prevented full oil pressure until fully warmed up. Using a thinner grade, as recommended by the manufacturer, works better and keeps the engine quieter on my old 302 Ford. This is a good oil, and I'd run it in my truck in Death Valley Summer conditions. It definitely has the viscosity.

Do the "Math" & Do it yourself Because of the skulduggery of the nefarious "Bait & Switch" at Oil Change places.
Do the "Math" & Do it yourself Because of the skulduggery of the nefarious "Bait & Switch" at Oil Change places. Saves money over the course of standard organic oil changes. Synthetic oil is nothing more & nothing less than standard organic Oil that has been chemically substantiated to be more robust to Heat & Pressure....like "Enriched Bread" or Supplemented Diet regiments. So, unlike standard oil that needs to be changed every 3-4000 Miles, with a SIMPLY 5 minute warm-up every-day before "Driving"?? Synthetic oil can be double or even triple that range (Just watch the condition of the oil & DON'T Mindlessly change it based upon some predetermined number or recommendation, please?? Take some personal responsibility Learn about things & step-up will yah???!!!). Synthetic oil can extend the performance & longevity of your motor-vehicle also. Those Oil-Change places with their big promises, assurances, & smiles?? Yeah, don't trust them. Google the scams, become educated & then?? Start changing your own damn oil instead of watching idiotic American Sports-related game one Sunday afternoon every few months.!. Better all-the-way-around

Hopefully I will love it. I have a 2006 Honda Goldwing
Hopefully I will love it. I have a 2006 Honda Goldwing. The manual calls for 10W-40W oil but I am in the hot South (FL) so I decided to give 20W-50W a try. Heard good things about this oil even though the bottle does not advertise itself as a motorcycle oil. Had a bad incident a couple years ago. Was going on a trip so I went to the local Walmart and bought some Mobil One !0W-40. Bad move. Love Mobil One in my cars and trucks so I figured it would be OK with the bike. Got on the Interstate. I lost my first 3 gears. So I limped home, dumped the oil and bought some motorcycle oil. Then the bike worked OK. Now the bike is having a hard time shifting down. So I am guessing the bike needs an oil change even though the oil does not have 4,000 miles on it. That is why I am going with a full Synthetic. Wish me luck.
