I absolutely love these curtains! I purchased two sets in white and one set in light pink, and they instantly made the rooms look more elegant and put together. The fabric feels thicker than I expected, which helps them hang really nicely and gives the windows a polished look. One thing that really impressed me is how durable they are. I’ve washed them many times in the washing machine, and they still look just as good as when I first bought them. They’ve held their shape and quality very well, which isn’t always the case with curtains at this price point. As far as light filtering goes, these are not blackout curtains. Both the white and pink colors allow light into the room. However, I did notice that the pink curtains seem to let in a little less light than the white ones, though neither completely blocks the sunlight. They still provide a soft, beautiful glow in the room during the day. We bought these for a little girl's room and they are absolutely gorgeous. We are all so in love with these. The material is beautiful. The colors are beautiful. We ordered Ivory and they go so well in her room. The first order we put through was for what they're calling blue but they were actually more of a green, so we exchanged them for the ivory and white.

The rose blush color is beautiful in person — soft, warm, and easy to match with a lot of decor styles. The double layer design is a great feature because you get the sheer layer for daytime light and the room darkening blackout layer for privacy and nighttime use, all in one panel. The blackout layer does a good job reducing light. It’s not 100% pitch black like heavy hotel blackout curtains, but it definitely darkens the room enough for sleeping, naps, or reducing glare. The energy efficiency aspect is a nice bonus — they help with temperature a bit, especially on sunny windows. The grommet top makes them easy to install and slide smoothly on the curtain rod. The fabric feels nice quality — not too thin and not overly heavy. For a 2-pack set, these feel like a really good value, especially with the layered design already built in. I have had these up for a couple of years now works very well at blocking out the light and looking nice. I am now needed to replace these because of my one cat using his claws to open them, ugh! I am going to to see if they still have these as I like them.

The word “blackout” is quite misleading. Yes, they do reduce some light but they are not blackout curtains. The photo for this review shows the curtains closed on a sunny winter morning. Please note that there is a blackout roller shade closed behind the curtains. We wanted the curtains as an added darkening measure for our daughter’s room. I’m really surprised and disappointed by how much light glows through the curtains. The curtains are nice shade of pink and will look pretty in her room, but they are not doing the job I was hoping they would do. If you truly need blackout curtains, go elsewhere.
