Good value nicely made

I have used an electric pepper mill for a number of years now but it gave up the ghost just recently. I decided to buy these partly based on the customer reviews which were largely pretty positive but also the description on the Amazon page of what the mills were capable of. Whilst it took a little while for me to get used to doing the grinding myself after using an electric mill, I soon got used to it. These mills are actually well made, easy to use and more to the point they are effective at grinding salt and pepper. It is also very easy to adjust the coarseness of the grind on both mills. To be honest it is difficult to get excited about a salt and pepper mill but all in all I would say that I am happy with my purchase.

Had this previously but the whole grinder top broke on the salt one and just the grinder broke on the pepper one. Had them for a good few years, but both broke probably from lack of care. I would recommend not using them for when cooking, as the steam gets the salt and peppers stuck on the grinders from the moisture from the steam. Apart from that it was very sturdy and easy to fill up and use, it also has lids so nothing goes in or out and the shakers doesn’t leak salt and pepper like a lot of shakers do with their opening facing down, this one faces up. This has more capacity than a lot of the bigger fancier electric ones (was very tempted to get electric ones) but decided on going back to these due to the capacity and just generally easier to use and these now come with the rack. I have gotten the new ones now for a month or so and only use it exclusively for served dishes not whilst cooking anymore. This should preserve and keep the shakers from wearing quicker. I would recommend this if you just want a high capacity, sturdy and easy to use shakers that have their own rack with handle.

I returned these as I was not impressed by their appearance. The grinders have unattractive, poor quality glass bottoms, with prominent moulding lines visible on the sides, resembling cheap jam jars screwed onto more elegant tops. I can't comment on how well they work as I did not use them.

Great product, looks very stylish. Easy to fill and use. Love the little rack that comes with it. My only downside is- all the plastic. 1 Large bag for the whole item, 2 small individual bags for each mill, 2 further smaller bags for each top, and a further 2 round foam discs for the bottoms. Whilst I appreciate the effort to send the item with minimal opportunity for damage, this is a bit overkill, especially in this day and age when we are supposed to be considering the planet and cutting down on extraneous waste packaging. Perhaps the company could consider using other products, mushroom fibre packing, recycled paper, bamboo, anything other than plastic bags.

I really like this Oliver's kitchen Salt n Pepper duo. I enjoy using it everytime I cook. very easy to use and and you don't get to fill it up often .it looks even durable . the glass container is thick. super love it!

Looks sturdy on the pictures but is actually a cheap fabrication that’s not worth the price. Besides that it functions alright.
