What’s even better is that I use the same Earthwood brand for my bass (just a different gauge suited to low‑E tension), and the consistency is a huge win. The bass sets stay warm, punchy, and stay in tune through long gigs, while the guitar set delivers that classic, sweet sparkle I love for finger‑picking and strumming alike. Why I stick with Earthwood: Uniform quality across both instruments, so I never have to hunt for a new brand when I switch between guitar and bass. Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic strings are a solid choice if you want a warm, balanced tone without sacrificing clarity. Right out of the package, they sound bright but not harsh, and they settle into a really nice, full sound after a short break-in period. The medium light gauge (12–54) feels comfortable under the fingers while still offering good volume and projection. They’re easy to install and hold tuning well, even after several playing sessions. I mainly use them for casual playing and longer practice sessions, and they stay consistent without going dead too quickly. They also feel smooth enough for strumming and fingerpicking without feeling stiff. Overall, these are dependable, great-sounding strings at a reasonable price. A good option for players who want quality acoustic tone without overthinking it.

Excellent tone and feel These strings sound great right out of the package and feel comfortable under the fingers. The medium-light gauge is a good balance of warmth and playability, and they tuned up quickly without much stretching. I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for years and these delivered exactly what I expected—clear tone, consistent quality, and solid feel across all strings. I’d happily buy these again.

I really wanted to fall in love with these strings, and I’m sure if I was more advanced and knowledgeable, I’d find the right fit for them and would enjoy them. But as a beginner to beginner-intermediate player, I just couldn’t get behind the tone of these strings. For reference, I had D’addarío Phosphor Bronze EJ16 light strings on before switching to these. I really liked the warmth of the tone and they really brought out a full range for my Washburn. Right after I threw these on, I just wasn’t feeling it, mainly in the bottom end (low E, A, and D strings especially). The lows are just really tinny and blend together too much. I feel like I lost some fullness to the sound. Granted, I’m just a couch player and don’t hook up to an amp or anything and I’m on the newer side of playing guitar. I will say these are great QUALITY strings, they tuned right up and settled in pretty quickly. I have no doubt this is a quality product for the price especially. I just don’t think these are my cup of tea. If you hook up to an amp regularly to play, I’m sure you can adjust to really make these sound killer, but for my use case, I really wasn’t into them and they just don’t seem to be a great fit for my guitar and/or play style. To each their own though, if you know what you’re looking for and these are it, you’re not getting a trash product - they’re packaged well and are great quality from what I can tell.

I strung these on a Parlor guitar - I really like the sound they give the small bodied guitar. Sounds rich and full. Also easy to play. I think the longevity is also really strong. I have had them on a long time and I feel they sound equal or better than when I just put them on. I am just a casual player - but I really think these are quality at a value price.

I’ve been testing different strings for my Fender FA-135CE, and the Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze (12-54) are the clear winners: ​ Right out of the pack, these strings brought a "shimmer" to my guitar that the stock strings lacked. They are noticeably bright without being "tinny," which balances well with the laminate spruce top of the my guitar. ​The best part. After an initial stretch, they hold their pitch incredibly well. I can play for an hour or leave the guitar in its stand for two days, and it’s still perfectly in tune when I pick it up. ​The Medium Light gauge is the "sweet spot" for this guitar. It offers enough tension for a full, loud projection but is still flexible enough for comfortable fingerstyle playing and bluesy bends. ​These strings provide enough tension to keep the neck stable without needing a truss rod adjustment in most cases. ​ If you want your acoustic to sound "new" again and stop fighting with your tuning pegs every 10 minutes, these are a reliable, affordable choice.

These are strings are AWESOME! They are the perfect tone for my Taylor Mini GS. Deep, vibrant tone that has a smooth, low-key reverb to them. The strings are extremely smooth and feel amazing against the fingertips. I have always used the Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nano strings and they are great, but these strings just sound better to me and for half the price of the Elixir strings.

I wanted to change up my strings just to try something new, so I figured I would give these a shot. Big mistake, for me personally anyway. These strings feel like they're about 5 years old, but not in the dull way. They feel dirty and sticky, and generally very rough. I will be going back to my Elixers.

I installed these on my Gibson Epiphone 12-string acoustic. They sound bright and have a great tone. Definitely recommend them.
