Hand Warmer, Black Matte

I absolutely love this thing! The value you can get out of these warmers far outweighs that of the little chemical packs by GRABBER and the like. HotHands Hand Warmers (40 pairs) Look and Feel The unit is very compact and is not any bigger than a standard smartphone in both length and girth. Hehe. The one i got was black, and the coating is a satin or semi-gloss paint that looks very professional and well built. The whole unit itself feels really good in the hand to hold, and it's easy to wrap your fingers around. The top cap is a bit loose, but can be secured better by removing it, squeezing and bending the sides slightly, and putting it back on. When you squeeze the sides, they apply more pressure to the chassis, making it less prone to fall off. Pretty well built overall. Product Performance These warmers far surpass the heat output of those regular hand warmers you can buy at the dollar store. Especially when you keep it out of its little bag. I like to keep my warmer running for an extended period of time, So I will keep it in its black bag to suffocate it just enough to keep it moderately warm. On those especially cold days, I will remove the black sheath altogether to get this thing piping hot. Sometimes hot enough to burn the skin. Which may sound a bit dangerous, but if you're serious about staying warm in the winter, whether you're camping, hunting, fishing, boating, or working, that should sound like a pretty nice benefit. Overall review I really love my warmer, and have bought a second one to take with me when hunting. It does a fantastic job at keeping me warm, and far surpasses anything else you can buy other than a propane heater, which my not always be a viable option. If you are even slightly pondering buying one, GET ONE NOW. you can thank me later.

Love these babies. I bought these for wifey and me to take snowboarding and they work as-advertised. I use a jet lighter to initially light them and have had no issue whatsoever - they are consistently warm and last some 14-16 hours on a full fueling. If you're looking at these and are unsure if they are safe, here's the deal: These are catalytic heaters (NO FLAME). You simply light them to get the catalyst warm and then cover them and put them in the satchel, that's it. You can put them in your pocket, sleep on them, put them on top of flammable fabrics, etc - they are safe and work really well. The Zippo fuel that powers them is available pretty much anywhere from Amazon to Walmart to nearly any gas station and they are good for some 60-100 uses before you need to replace the catalyst (it's not expensive). Stop throwing away those hot hands things and use this instead. Do be aware there is a very faint fuel scent when they are active. I cannot smell them except up close (4" or less), but wifey can smell them from a foot or two. the odor is not objectionable and nothing like the scent of gasoline, it's just a scent that you might want to be aware of.

Oftentimes they disposable hand warmers also run out of heat too soon. This product was perfect for me since I had to be in freezing temperatures with up to 15mph winds for over 8hours daily. It's basically a mini fire in the form of a giant zippo lighter. There's no actual flame, just a thing that looks like steel wool that turns red hot and uses lighter fluid to make the magic happen. You won't need two since its warm enough for you to alternate between pockets. The directions don't cover everything so read on if you will be using this. I can't use gloves because I have to use my fingers to handle tape, paper, pens, phones, etc while in the freezing cold. This hand warmer did its job very well. It comes with a little measuring cup so you won't overfill it (you're not supposed to use more than one full cup but you could...not a good idea but if you're careful you can get 16hours or more of heat). If you fill it up all the way on the measuring cup it'll go for over 10 hours, halfway will get you around 5-6 hours. If you only need to keep your hands warm for less than 6 hours, you should probably get an electronic warmer. It'll snuff itself out if you only fill it up a quarter of the way. If you fill the warmer up without the measuring cup, you could overfill it and that is dangerous to do because on cold days the fuel is dense but will expand as you light it. As the fuel expands, it will come out of the handwarmer and then ignite your pocket. Wipe off excess fluid if you ever overfill. The sponge-like material should look wet (darker than when it is dry which is pure white) but you've overfilled it when you can see the fluid (the sponge will be shiny since the liquid fuel isnt absorbed but overflowing). Although the directions say you only need to light it for 4 seconds, this is not true when you are doing this outside in the wind. The part that ignites has to get hot enough to catch so always get the handwarmer going before you actually need it. There is no off switch so the only way to turn the handwarmer off is to take the top part off and set it on a fireproof surface. It'll stop burning if you remove it from the fuel (be careful, it'll be very hot). You'll know its lit when the steel wool part turns red (this is very hard to see during the day so turn the lights off. It can get hot as you try to ignite it but aluminum transfers heat very fast. The best way to tell if you ignited it is seeing the steel wool go from gray/brown/black to red. The soot from your match/lighter can change the color of the wool but make sure it turns red). The lid has air holes so the embers will keep burning. I recommend keeping the warmer in the carrying bag (included) because the warmer can get hot. It will work even while inside your pocket and the carrying bag. On super cold days I take the warmer out of the carrying bag so this effectively gives the warmer two temperature settings. You should keep the warmer in your pocket for best performance. It doesn't really work if you hold it in your hand outside of a pocket (too much heat loss too quickly from the metal. aluminum transfers heat very quickly...good because it warms quickly, bad because it can get cool quickly) Fill it up before you use it, not the night before because lighter fluid evaporates quite quickly. When you think the warmer will run out of fuel, you can turn the warmer sideways or upside down and this will let gravity pull some of the fluid closer to the embers so it can keep going. I can't be sure but sometimes the warmer uses more fuel. I have a jacket with a zipper on the pocket so I'm not sure if it's the wind, temperature or the way it sits in my pocket that causes the warmer to run out of fuel faster. DO NOT OVERFILL. As the warmer works its magic, the lighter fluid will get warm and will expand. If you overfill, then you could be leaking fuel onto yourself. Depending on the weather, this effect could happen instantly or a few minutes later. Luckily for me, this has never happened when it is in my pocket (only while I attempt to get it ignited). This product is very easy to clean and the finish (paint on the metal) is decent at protecting it from scratches.

Bellissimo e utilissimo scaldamani. Scalda veramente tanto, ho messo metà ricarica e tiene effettivamente per 6 ore, senza custodia scotta se lo si tiene a contatto della pelle. Usato anche per scaldare piedi all'interno delle calze e direi che è spettacolare. Non fa nessunissimo tipo si odore, usato nel sacco a pelo, non fa fumo ed è sicuro. Non c'è fiamma. Rispetto al carboncino non sporca. Consigliatissimo

Den benutze ich bei der Arbeit ab -5 Grad oder beim Wintercamping. Darf nicht in einem Mumienschlafsack genutzt werden! Der hält bei mir ca 6std und Bringt viel gegen Auskühlung. Am besten funktioniert er natürlich, wenn die Kleidungsschicht nach außen dicker ist, als zum Körper. Liegt super in der Tasche. Hat genug Oberfläche für effektive Wärmeübertagung. Empfehlung.

j ai fait un premier essai est ça marche super bien, en deux trois coup de briquet il est partie sans faire de flammes et il a tenu presque 8 heures sans le remplir au max.il dégage une douce chaleur constante sans ce brûler. le seul inconvénient c'est qu'une fois qu'il est parti on ne peut plus l arrêter. petit conseil quand vous le remplissé maintenait le bien droit et attendre au moins 2 minutes que l essence soit bien remonté dans le brûleur avant de l allumer.
