The book is interesting to read and the package is new and easy to open. I love the book very much.

This book is a good format to use for a tutor of English as a Second Language. My student & I meet at the local library 2X a week and we have already started using this book. I can also see how it would help any student (and even the teacher!) correct often-made mistakes! Thanks for this book; I recommend it for anyone wanting to improve their spoken &/or written English.

Very useful for learners of English! The author included even some hints about pronounce (don't be afraid to show your tongue! hahahaha). The technique of inserting "WRONG" red marks in the - of course - wrong words, grammar or pronounce, is very useful to make you REMEMBER the rules. I keep coming back to check and... it helps me a lot! Nice book!

I needed a book for an ESL class that would give clear, concise explanations for basic grammar. This was a great help and I highly recommend it for anyone hoping to improve his/her day-to-day grammar.

I recently purchased this book as a quick reference for my ESL classes and have found it to be TREMENDOUSLY helpful! I bought a stack of books to help me teach the course, but this one has been used the most by far! In a pinch, I can easily teach an entire lesson using the very well-organized sections, ranging from Spelling to Verbs/Tenses to Prepositions and beyond! In the end, I decided to buy a copy for each of my students, as they have found it to be an easy-to-use reference. There are a few points made by Collins with which I don't agree (i.e., in his chapter on Modals he states that one would typically only use "can I?" not "may I?" when asking permisson), but aside from these few points, I LOVE this book--in less than a week of use, it has earned a permanent place on my desk!

Good english book witch I found from local Labrary, so I decide to own one.

英語を学ぶ人が間違えがちな点をネイティブの視点から まとめた本。現在、英語圏の人が使うようになっている 表現も書いてあり、信頼性はかなり高い。 簡単な内容のものもあるが、書き方だけでなく読み方も きちんと載っており、間違いと正解を並べて書いてある点も 分かりやすい。 英文だが、高校1年生くらいなら十分読める分かりやすい 英語で書かれています。練習問題付きで役に立ちます。 おすすめ！

Cet ouvrage est utile mais reste toutefois assez superficiel. Les explications sont succintes et les erreurs mentionnées dans le titre sont des erreurs portant sur les bases grammaticales de l'anglais. A réserver aux débutants.

Este libro no solamente puede servir para mejorar los errores comunes a todos los hablantes de inglés como lengua extranjera. También puede servir para consultar definiciones y usos. Está dividido en capítulos (determinantes, nombres, adjetivos, preposiciones...). Cada capítulo contiene una definición de los terminos, ejemplos de usos y después cuadros con ejemplos de errores que debemos evitar. Como hispano hablante, yo no cometo alguno de ellos...pero en otros casos (la mayoría) si los comento y no era consciente. Cada capítulo acaba con una lista de ejercicios y las claves se encuentran al final. Es muy denso, pero se trata de un magnifico manual y libro de estudio. Me alegro mucho de haberlo comprado y lo "único que echo en falta" es otro libro de páginas con el doble de páginas sólo con ejercicios relativos a los capítulos!!
