I don’t know it would depend how hot and how long But it is an additional layer so it can’t hurt I have mine in a ceiling void surrounded by plaster board so hopefully I will never have to find out 😂

If the melting point of Aluminium is 1220 degrees F, how can the inner resist temperatures of 1800 degrees F?

Straight to the point it WON'T go upto that temperature at all. Go onto YouTube and type in fireproof document envelope or wallet and it will show you how quickly these go up in flames which is why I WON'T ever buy another 1. I do have the documents that I need most important in this but its also inside a fire and waterproof safe as it might give you that little bit extra time for you to put the fire out yourselves or to wait for the fire service to get to you and put it out for you. IN MY OPINION I WOULD JUST SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A FIRE AND WATERPROOF SAFE THST CAN FIT A4 SHEETS INSIDE THEM. Hope this helps you out. Peter

If used in a non fire proof safe will it fireproof any dicuments

It should work for a certain amount of time as the fireproof document bag won't be directly on the flames and the outer casing of the safe will buy the bag time for the fire to be put out. If on its own definitely not it will be OK for a few minutes at the most. There is a YouTube video of a Russian guy testing this type and another type that you can watch him placing each on a open fire pit. Hope This Helps You Out. Peter
