Rose Petal Graves (The Lost Clan Book 1) - Kindle edition by Wildenstein, Olivia. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading Rose Petal Graves (The Lost Clan Book 1). Review: Amazingly Beautiful, Emotional, Atmospheric... - I am not now, nor have I ever been a fan of fairies, I find them tiny and annoying (Disney ruined them for me, LOL); but if this author writes it I read it, plain and simple. Well let me just say I am now a fan of THESE fairies. I LOVED how the author made them human but with extra traits, magic and senses. I love that they were so easy to understand yet unique and different enough to feel like new creatures; like I can see them flying out of the shadows of real life. I was unprepared for the emotional journey both the characters and I would take during this book. I am not a fan of feelings but this book made me feel and a lot; and I enjoyed it! That is how invested I was with these characters. I found the world this author created to be detailed and imaginative. Real yet just slightly off from what I live in each day. I liked the mythology and the history the author incorporated into the story, it helped me imagine this world and these characters, (their beliefs and reasonings) in a way that connected me to the outcome. I loved how atmospheric the story is. I could feel the snow, the rain, the darkness and the light. I wanted to be apart of it. I could go on and on, but I will leave my review here as I need to jump into book two and discover what’s next. Once again this author proved she is a master at her craft as she took two things I dislike in a story and made me love them! Brilliant! Review: A Suspenseful Urban Fantasy - 4⭐️ 0🌶 Phew! This one had me metaphorically on the edge of my seat. I didn't know where it was going. I didnt know who was lying and who was telling the truth. I felt for Catori. She couldn't tell up from down if you catch my drift. I like how different these Fae are to other Fae you see written. I didn't really see any kind of relationship build with any of the male characters introduced, but with the weird dreams her and her father had who knows. I really liked this. I typically have to have a little romance to enjoy something. I was so surprised by this. I like Ace and I feel like there's alot of things were not seeing. He reminds me of a blend between Eric and Damon which I love. I really like how the other gets inspired by other cultures and puts it in her writing. I can't wait to see where this series goes. It's definitely worth the read.

A true pleasure
Olivia Wildenstein’s Rose Petal Graves (The Lost Clan Book 1) is wonderfully original. Not only because if it’s genuine feel (I really want to find out that Rowan is a real town: it must be, even without fae) but also because of the genuine feel to its characters (definitely including the conniving fae, and their conflicts with the hunters) and the wonderful folklore and world-building created to support the story. Add on a wonderful lead, as I love Catori Price (though I don’t envy her the choices she has to make) and a well written plot with a number of totally unexpected twists and turns (nope, not gonna spoil them) and perfectly crafted characters. The result is one great read. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Enjoyable read
If you can look past the flaws in this book, it has an interesting plot and great characters. I really liked the world she created. The main character seemed pretty selfish and some things were very unrealistic. Kissing while covered in blood and in the middle of an awful moment really did not seem likely at all. Aside from that kind of stuff, I did devour the book. I didn’t think this was quite up to Wildenstein’s usual storytelling magic compared to her other work I’ve read. I am looking forward to giving the next book a chance though

Nothing is as it seems
I don’t really know what I fully think of this book. It was good, great even at some parts. However, it also had issues that was hard to see past. The beginning of the story was intriguing. The sudden passing of Cat’s mom, the rose petal grave and the mysterious medical examiner with the instant attraction between him and Cat. Best of all though was that the story constantly kept me on my toes. Nothing was ever what it seemed, people weren’t who they said they were and new characters were often introduced with their own agenda and part to play who later had new unexpected parts. Enter Kajika with his past and connection to Cat … well, let’s just say that the story had a lot of moving elements to take in and I’m impressed that the story handled so many moving and changing parts so well. Albeit, it did not handle it perfectly. At times I felt that characters actions and feelings didn’t really feel as developed or natural as I would have liked. Characters deaths usually have me crying when the story is good, and while this one is good, the emotional impacts didn’t really hit due to it having so much going on that the characters was given very little room to grieve or handle any other emotion like hate or betrayal. Sure, Cat hated Gwen for a hot second but then kind of just dropped it with no shown reason as to why. The lack of emotional processing aside this story was a roller coaster with twists and characters, so much so that the romance in itself became a mystery. On the one hand, me being a huge romance nerd am a bit disappointed that it isn’t as clear cut as any romance story I’m just to. On the other hand the potential couple possibilities have all been really intriguing and I honestly don’t really know who I’m shipping, having gone back and forth throughout reading the story. Having finished the book I’m leaning a bit more towards Kaijka and Cat, but whoever is the end goal I think I will be happy either way, which is a great feeling to having jumping into the next book in the series. Fingers crossed that it holds the same level, if not better, as this one did. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What is the truth???
This book has a slightly different approach on this genre. The story is fascinating, the characters are interesting & the twists & turns keeps the reading lively. Indeed, I enjoyed reading this book immensely & can't wait to start book 2.

Rose Petal Graves
In 'Rose Petal Graves', Olivia Wildenstein has woven an interesting tale with intriguing folklore in an extremely unique, creative and different plot and storyline. Well written, this engaging book has main characters that are complex and well defined, and the secondary cast of characters, good and not so good, do enhance and give credence to the storyline. There is good interaction and dialogue between the different characters, and there is also good detailed description to the various scenes and settings. The Author has delivered a tale that has a love story, family, grief, mystical creatures and so much more. All this in an original, captivating and engaging story that keeps the reader's attention from the beginning. Recommended. Gifted with a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This Series is like Pringles
Okay rose petal graves is (lost clan) books 1-4 (I decided not to read 5 because it’s“Next generation book” which I’m not super interested in. This is like special edition Pringles. Once you pop you just can’t stop. Most people don’t take this commercial literally but I do. I have eaten 4 cans of Pringle’s and I have a stomach ache. Everytime I opened a new can I was like okay. Be normal don’t eat the whole can. People do this all the time. But salty crunchy is my weakness. And so with no grownup to wrestle them from my fingers and tell me no I consume it all. I have no self control. Which is how I read 4 books in 6 days, have a full time job and raise children. The relationship is familiar as a potato chip. Nothing terribly complex there. But Pringle’s take different than other chips somehow. And this one special edition flavor. A little Smokey a little sweet. A bit too sweet actually and something else unexpected. Familiar but with a slightly new flavor. Yum. It tastes of delicious Native American inspiration (or cultural appropriation depending on who you ask) I need a break from crappy snacks. Oh and when I do next eat them they best have more spice.
