KitchenAid KSMPRA 3 Piece Pasta Roller & Cutter Attachment Set, Silver

My husband originally purchased this for me for Christmas through a local retailer - but we think we got someone else's used product because it had dried pasta crumbs in it AND the rods on the bottom side of the flat roller was tarnished. So we took the item back to trade it for another one, and the other one's rods were nicked up - they should be smooth. So we just got a refund then I took a chance and ordered a replacement here on Amazon - wish he'd have just purchased it thru Amazon in the first place! The pasta rollers arrived in beautiful condition! I have never used one of these before, so learning was pretty easy - I just watched a few videos on youtube after reading the instructions. Watching others demonstrate the product was very helpful, and my first batch came out perfect - although I used a vegan recipe and the noodles came out slimey. So the next time around I used the egg recipe but not the one recommended because it is a pain in the hind-parts to decipher - and if you purchase this, you'll see what I'm talking about. It's the recipe that kitchenaid put in their booklet. So I found a very similar recipe at allrecipes - same exact ingredients but measured slightly differently - and viola! Egg noodles and happy husband! (Because this thing is expensive and so he was hoping to get his money's worth. LOL!) There are so many positives to making your own pasta at home, and this thing makes it so easy that it's almost a sin. I almost feel guilty for not rolling the pasta out with a rolling pin and using a knife to cut the noodles the way my mother and grandmother did. LOL! Anyway, I make tons of pasta and what I don't cook up fresh, I dry on a parchment lined cookie sheet in my oven at about 170 degrees F for a total of about 30 minutes or so - After 20 minutes I turn them and give them 10 or so more minutes - depending on thickness. Then I put them in a ziplock bag and store them in my freezer. I have read that they will stay good on the shelf for a while, but since they contain egg, I don't want to take the chance. So anyway, I love this thing! It's easy to use! Only problem is that you need a little patience to clean up - I tend to brush the crumbs off right away and wipe it down real good and really work on getting flour out of the crevices - I use the brush they provide and a toothpick for detailing, but you really need to let these air-dry for a couple of hours first, and I like to clean things up and put them away right away or else I get distracted and forget about them. So this is the only thing that I don't like, but really that's a personal problem. So buy this and enjoy the heck out of it. You won't be sorry!

This KitchenAid attachment set is the real deal with authentic quality finishing. They work very well with our tilt mixer. The fit to the mixer is perfect. This is important as some knock-offs don't fit well to the mixer and may cause damage to parts. The pasta roller does its work effortlessly and gives the perfect sheet of the desired thickness. The cutter is sharp and gives very even and clean cut strings of pasta that don't stick together. Lastly, can't say enough about the quality of the set. So glad to have paid slightly more for a quality set that really works instead of settling for less expensive versions.

The pieces are made of strong, sturdy metal and function smoothly without any hiccups. Attaching and removing them from my stand mixer is quick and effortless, and once they’re in place, they work flawlessly. The rollers create perfect sheets of pasta, and the cutters make clean, even noodles every time. It’s so much easier than using a hand-cranked machine or struggling with a rolling pin. The box even includes a handy cleaning brush to help keep everything free of flour and dough after each use! Yes, the price is a bit higher than some off-brand versions, but in my experience, the premium is absolutely justified. The native compatibility with my KitchenAid mixer and the undeniable quality make this set a fantastic long-term investment for anyone who enjoys making fresh pasta at home.

安価な物もたくさんありこの価格でちょっと迷いましたが、他のモールを検索するともっと高いです。 届いてみてその重さにびっくりしました。やっぱり頑丈に作ってあります。 キッチンエイドに取り付けてみてもガタなど無くしっかり装着できました。 ローラーもカッターもとてもスムーズに動作します。何度かパスタを作りましたが、固いデュラムセモリナ粉のパスタも楽々伸ばしてくれます。使い勝手はとても良いです。
