Microsoft Excel 2019 VBA and Macros (Business Skills)

I'm a mildly experienced programmer with a few different languages and I do not code on a regular basis. I do, however, use Excel very heavily for more complicated tasks. The wording in this book wasn't too complicated for me, though I didn't catch some of the references to other/older programming languages. It's well-organized and once you read the first couple chapters, you can pretty much bounce around to any chapter/section to get the information you need. I was writing moderately complex and usable macros after reading about 5.5 chapters of the book. I'd strongly recommend for anybody who isn't completely new to programming.

Book was in excellent condition other than the name of the original owner written inside and a $1 price sticker on the cover (I was charged more than $1 by the used book seller, not counting shipping). Contents are helpful for a power Excel user who wants to up their VBA macro skills in some very interesting ways that will awe their colleagues.

I have some experience in VBA, but in VBA, if you don't know some methods and objects you cannot guess them and macro recorder will never show them. This book thought me how to edit and parse .csv files, how to arrange/resize charts, etc. It seems like it can be useful for total beginners, too despite that there are macros with only general description, so the reader has to guess the functions of the specific commands

Written well for tech Manuel and samples and exercises are excellent. Very happy with purchase

The textbook was very well written. It was written for very experienced Excel macro users. Beginners would be better off getting a less in-depth textbook. However, One new 2019 macro was said to exist, but there wasn't any example using it. There should have been exercises for the reader to perform to make sure they were understanding the material. (Major problem) The sample files appear to have been written for previous versions of the textbook. Page numbers and in some cases, the chapter numbers and Sub names are not in the book.

This is not a book that just talks at you. It has projects you have to follow along with to fully grasp the content. Great purchase

If you can code, this will get you started with VBA. I didn't see any errors in the examples given.
