The Self-Love Workbook: A Life-Changing Guide to Boost Self-Esteem, Recognize Your Worth and Find Genuine Happiness (Self-Love Books) Review: Great tool - Great to make you slow down and think. Good for self reflection. Review: Incredible self-discovery book! - I thought about getting this in the Kindle format so I can work on it anywhere, but I'm so glad I went with the paperback! First of all, this book is GORGEOUS. It's sleek and appealing, from the layout to the worksheets and the diagrams - it's seriously aesthetic perfection. More than how it looks, however, is the complete depth of subject matter. Thoughtfully broken down into sections, it's clear that this was a labor of love from the author. Guiding you from one self-exploration to the next, this book is chock full of ways to examine yourself and your life in a new light. The sheer number of ideas and interventions conveyed is stunningly impressive. I love going through it myself, and I see myself recommending it to many, many clients in the future. A one-of-a-kind in this genre of self-help books!

Great for anyone...even those who "already know the basics"
There's another review here that claims this isn't a good choice for anyone that knows more than the "basics" of self awareness and psychology. While I agree this may not be what everyone is looking for, I disagree with that specific claim completely. I wanted to respond to that and remind everyone that one of the very "basics" to learn in therapy is that consistent introspection is extremely valuable and healthy, and even revisiting ideas you may already know and reiterating them is a good practice. There's a ton of practical exercises that assist in getting out of a rut and building yourself back up, if need be. Which we all need sometimes, and always will. Especially this year, we all could use a "refresh" to get to know ourselves again and reevaluate what we need to be happy and healthy. As someone who has been to therapy for over 20 years, starting as a teen, and has always been very interested in self knowledge and growth...I found this book extremely helpful, it actually exceeded my expectations, especially for only $15. It's common to see these types of workbooks go for $50 plus. I think it would be a fantastic tool for anyone who enjoys exercising their self-realization/evaluation muscles. Also it is really nice to look at and have on your coffee table 😍

Relatable, easy to follow.
Came a day earlier. Right on time. I took cue from a previous reviewer and had it spiraled. Tight spine, a bit chonky to write in otherwise. Worth the very few bucks if done at an "office supply" store. I had them add the shiny covers; just amazing. The content is very related, warm-toned, and so far, a great way to really spend time with myself and sort my self out again. Highly recommended. I even treated my new middle schooler to the teen version, same glam up and again, relatively relatable content on a modern kids radar.

Get out of your funk with this book!
Get out of your funk with this book! It's the PERFECT book to help boost yourself up and recognize your worth. My brother in law totally laughed when I told him I was doing this but it is honestly life changing and something I highly recommend to anyone who is going through a funk! It felt like I was working through some serious stuff without having to actually talk to a live person about it hahaha. Starting with self love is so important because without our own self love, how can we accomplish anything else in life or see anything else. I LOVE the format of this book, from the feeling words, to actually stopping to think about things, to actually writing things out, this book is so insightful!! This is the perfect combo of thought provoking and spiritual guide as well as actual worksheet/workshop. HIghly recommend!

A must for heeling!
My counselor recommended this book to help me during my therapy process and I'm excited because their are exercises included and places to write down your thoughts and feelings. I've heard great things and will update ad I go through the book.

Getting my life back
I found this workbook at the perfect time in my life. As a young mother of three children (2 teens) over the years I've become consumed with caring for my family's needs and ignoring my own; I was running thin. THIS has been the guide I needed to begin to work on myself: understand my feelings, set much needed boundaries, begin to regain my confidence, and find my passion/purpose again. I highly recommend this book for any woman feeling lost, complacent, worthless, or no real direction for their life/future. It's helped me shift toward the mother I want to be, my marriage, my relationship with friends and family, and most importantly the relationship I have with myself.

It’s alright
The open ended questions are decent and the self-awareness chapter helped. There was a part at the very beginning though that triggered and offended me. The author tells a story of a heart surgeon who achieved great success and called him selfish and materialistic for pursuing success. Surgeons help people, not selfish. Achieving and pursuing success doesn’t make someone materialistic. Hit a sore spot. The whole section on sin was weird. I didn’t want to use it as an excuse to stop going through the book so I kept going. Many of the exercises were hard to follow and I had to skip over some of them. The written parts were a bit hard to follow too. Not sure if I will finish the workbook. The remainder of the book doesn’t look all that helpful. There are better ones out there.
