MOVA Self Rotating Globe Earth with Clouds Prestige (8.5")

This is one of the coolest items I have ever bought. I usually do not leave reviews unless I am very impressed with something. Not only is it beautiful, it works really well. This will be a great tool to teach my students which way the Earth turns and to also show them how day and night works. It does require quite a bit of light to get it spinning, but once it gets started, it keeps going. When the light turns off, it stops. It is quite expensive, but it definitely looks the part. It does seem to be made of plastic so you do need to be very careful with it but if it is just sitting on a desk/shelf, it should be perfect. Cleaning it will probably take more care than normal, but as long as you’re careful and use non abrasive cleaners/just a dry microfiber cloth, it should be fine. Would highly recommend if you are into space or the planet Earth in general.

He loves this thing. It's almost constantly in motion from just the temperature fluxuations in the home with sunlight. Very interesting piece.

I was amazed from the moment I first saw it at a friend‘s house. It makes a wonderful gift to the person in your family that has everything. Now they can have the world.

it's really cool, & high quality. for some reason I thought that ordering it "with clouds" would mean that the clouds would have their own "layer" ,so to speak. It seemed in the video like the clouds moved "separately" from the land. On further thought, I guess that would be hard to do, & in reality the clouds don't move very fast, & change all the time. It looks great & I'm glad I got it with clouds (even though they stay the same), because it still looks more realistic than "no clouds" would.

This is pretty cool and does what they say it will do but it's not worth the money in my opinion. It spins slowly and it looks like a paper image of the earth inside a glass ball.

Lovely. Will not break easily. Delivery man threw it over my front gate and I heard it hit cement path. It works well. WAS WELL PACKED. Expensive but worth having if you can afford one. This is my second globe and they complement each other nicely.
