Adventure Prep + Cook Set - 1.58 quart, Stainless Steel

I wasn't much concerned about the weight as I used it for car camping in my camper. Packs nicely away and I love buying Stanley because they stand behind their product line. Their products are durable and stand the test of time.

I actually saw this at Wally World but bought it from Amazon. I was shocked! Someone at Stanley put some great thought into this cook set at a really good price. I didn't even know Stanley made this sort of gear. I also bought the Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set with a smaller pot and two plastic cups. With these two sets for around 40 bucks, you have everything two people need in a compact, space-efficient set that is not too heavy for backpacking. It's not an ultralight titanium set but it covers all the bases for about 1/4th the price of those sets. After using the Adventure Camp and the Adventure Camp Prep cook sets for a week I love everything about the choices Stanley made in these two sets except the ladle and spatula. The ladle is too big to use in the pot and the spatula is sort of useless in a deep pot. Unless you have other pots or a frying pan, I'd toss the ladle and spatula. A spoon will stir this small pot just fine and you can simply pour the contents into the bowls.The bowls while a bit heavy for backpacking are great at insulating your hands from hot food as well as keeping that food hot in cold weather. And whatever plastic Stanley chose for these bowls cleans up really easily with little water. If you want to save a little space and weight, you can toss the bowl lids / cutting boards/ plates too. Personally I just use the bowls 90% of the time.

Great for car camping or short day hikes for two people. One can see and feel the Stanley quality in every piece of this kit. A little heavy and big for a single person who is into ultralight backpacking. Stanley sells another smaller kit that is perfect for a single person backpacking trip.

I would have given 5 stars but there isn't a latch to clamp the lid onto the pot. This would've been a great addition to this kit and would've made it easier to keep closed while packed away and carry. I might have to engineer a snap down clamp just for the job. Also, I tried to boil rice in this and it didn't work so well. I think it had to do with the holes in the lid not being able to keep a good steam inside. Besides those two things I think it's great! To be able to pack the bowls, lids and utensils inside is awesome!

Nice little pan/bowl/cooking utensil set in a small collapsible package that's easy to haul in and out of camp. This set is basic but gets the job done and is lightweight.

These are very good, perhaps a little small for two, but very good none the less. We use these when car camping. For back packing they would be a bit too heavy.

Seems well made and should work great for 3 of us while out hiking/camping. Ditching the bowls and utensils would make it so much lighter if you didn't need them, but alas my wife wants to use them, so I'm packing the kit in her bag.

Very nice kit -- sturdy, good-sized pot and bowls, cleverly compact spatula and ladle. Good for car camping, but too large and heavy for backpacking use.

Muy buena calidad del acero inoxidable, pero creo que fallan algunas cosas del diseño, por ejemplo, los platos son pesados y los dos utensilios son muy grandes para el tamaño de la olla, sería ideal que fueran más proporcionales al tamaño de la olla y los platos más ligeros tomando en cuenta que son para camping, pero la olla tiene peso y diseño excelente!
