Fits My Gardyn Studio Pods
Purchased a Gardyn Studio five months ago using a variety of their starter seeds that you can purchase from their website. Wasnโt sure what exactly I wanted to grow back then, but we found that we used the lettuce the most for a weekly chicken Caesar salad that was better quality than the bagged lettuce from the supermarket. We decided to replant the Gardyn Studio with all lettuce seeds from Johnnyโs Seeds website and purchased these rockwool pods as they fit the pods perfectly. The product is easy to tear and fit into the pods, however the clear plastic wrap packaging around the 2 sheets of rockwool is just a one time use, so if you donโt use all of it you need to put the extras in something else. The studio model only holds 16 pods, so 98 was more than we needed and the left over rockwool I stored in ziplock bags for the next replant in a few months. In the Gardyn all the replanted pods with this rockwool have sprouted, so the product has met my intended needs and I would recommend them for any other Gardyn owner looking to plant with their own better quality seeds.

Easy to transition from seed to plant to hydroponic Tower Garden
Thank you for a great product that works well for my little seedlings! I got these last year's growing season and they held up very well, from seedling to plant--I got several harvests from my Tower Garden. ;-)

Nothing to complain about. Solid product
Great rockwool as far as Iโm concerned. Nothing to complain about. They are a bit soft and can fall apart easily, but Iโm fine with that. Thereโs a balance I prefer between those super dense and hard rockwool plugs and ones that are thin and come apart easily. Iโd say these ride that line in between pretty well. I donโt like my plugs to be too hard because I feel it inhibits root growth somewhat. Would order again.

seeds grew well inside - germinated very well
My seeds grew well inside. They germinated well in these plugs. It may deserve a 5. I did not because every single plug died once I moved them outside. Most likely it is the user at fault but, not sure why. I transplanted exactly as instructed by the seed company.

Very easy to use.
These are small cubes of rock wool to start seeds for hydro-phonic systems. You can raise many seedlings in very little shelf space with this product at an extremely reasonable price. You need to supply your own water proof tray - carry out containers work fine. Its important to cover the seeds with a pinch of vermiculite or a similar substance and keep the rock wool wet. We use one inch slices of pool noodles to secure rock wool cubes in their hydro-phonic baskets.

Perfect for my indoor lettuce hydroponic system
Super easy to use. Break off one square, soak with water, stick a seed in the hole and pop it into my hydroponic system.

Needs more than water...
I wanted to try an alternative to dirt for seeds that was hassle free after setup. These fiberglass cube do great at wicking water and staying moist. The issue is you would need to add mineral/nutrients to the water for results. I planted seeds in the fiberglass and in potting soil as a side by side comparison. They both sprouted at the same time, but after 2.5 months the fiberglass group still looks tiny. See photos for comparison. Both groups were treated the same, after dropping the seeds I gave them the same water, source light and temp. One group in a starter soil.. the other in fiberglass only. The seeds are creeping thyme. I'm sure the results could be different had I supplemented the water but I wanted hassle free plants. I setup a cycle of humidity, then air flow and light. I only replenished the water reservoir.
