Well, it works
So it's my first cane. Not that I really wanted it. But with my current state of unsteadiness thanks to a spinal issue, I felt I had to find something that would do the job yet still as not be so conspicuous when I didn't need it in certain situations, like when I'm seated. The collapsing feature is perfect in that respect; the cane downsizes itself to something shorter than the most compact umbrellas, making it unobtrusive when it's not in use. At that size I can put it in a backpack or my messenger bag. It did take me a bit to figure out how to get the cane adjusted to a more amenable extended length that plays better for my height. Me being one of those guys who never reads the owner's manual or user's guide certainly didn't help. But with tail tucked I did ultimately reference the user's manual and got the cane adjusted to a length that is more suitable for me. The design of the operating mechanism for extending the cane is a bit awkward to activate but it shouldn't tax one's dexterity too much, even for those who may have issues with arthritis and other forms of joint discomfort in the hands. It telescopically extends much like the legs of a tripod. The aluminum tubes that make up the individual shaft sections of the cane seem sturdy enough, though as lightweight as it is I wouldn't count on this cane being all that useful or durable if called up on as a defensive weapon to fend off an attacker. I would surmise that dents are a likely probability if this cane were to live a rough life. And if that's the case, so much for its further ability to collapse down to a small and tidy package. I agree with another reviewer about the amber reflector at the front of the handle; it looks dumb. Frankly if the maker was going to go to that extent to better improve a user's presence in low light conditions, why not just electrify the handle and put a LED light there? Now THAT would've been cool. However, probably asking for turn signals and a hazard switch would probably be a bit much... ;) For what it is, this collapsible cane fulfills my current needs quite well. My back issues is expected to be only a temporary condition, but if and when I need a cane more permanently in the future, this cane should work quite well.

Amazing Cane!
Iโve had a few canes in my lifetime and this is by far the coolest, most compact and nicest one. Iโm 30 years old but at the age of 13 was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Canes have been in my life for a while now. I donโt use them everyday but do use them frequently when pain is bad. Iโve had many different types of canes foldable ones, stationary ones as well as the ones you get at the hospital you know which one Iโm talking about, the ugly gray one. This cane caught my eye because of how it collapses as well as the color. I thought let me check it out and it is awesome. Very easy to open and collapse. Put it in my backpack and it very easy to travel with. Takes a bit to adjust for your height but once thatโs done Iโd doubt youโd have to adjust again unless you get taller. The reflector is pretty cool especially if youโre walking at night. The only thing that I will say about the cane that they should add is more grip on the handle. It comes with a height adjusting clip which like I said youโll probably only use once as well as with an extra grip bottom and screw just in case you wear yours out or it gets damaged. The cane is also very light but feels sturdy when putting weight on it. Hoping it lasts me years to come.

Rubber tip solution
I love this cane but after yrs of using since I bought this in 2022 the rubber tip chipped off. I canโt remember using this in rocky areas. Any suggestion?

Measured Length Setting.
The description states 12 adjustable length settings. I have measured mine and provide the results. I rounded to 1/8 inch to provide moderate but useful info. Fully collapsed 14 1/4 inch section 1 : 16 3/4 : 18 1/4 : 19 1/2 : 21 inches section 2 : 24 1/2 : 25 3/4 : 27 1/4 : 28 5/8 inches section 3 : 32 3/4 : 34 1/8 : 35 1/2 : 37 inches One problem is large jump from Max Section 2 to Min section 3 of approx. 4 inches. The cane is sturdy and easy to setup and use. The lower length setting works for me getting up out of chairs etc. (Main reason I purchased). Fits me Ok at ~5'8". I like the 14 inch folded length. I'm pleased with the purchase. If you need something in the middle of 28 and 32 inches or 21 and 24 inches, then you may have a problem .

Serious quality control problems
I really wanted this product to work. I often travel and commute by motorcycle and an easy-to-use compact cane that I can tuck into a saddlebag or briefcase is a desirable item. The first one I received worked fine...for a few hours. It's easy to adjust for height and comfortable. Later that day I picked it up again to use it and found it would no longer fully extend no matter how often I tried. One section had just locked itself into place. I called the dealer who was unable to help or understand the problem so I returned the item to Amazon for an exchange. The replacement arrived a few days later. The replacement would not extend fully even right out of the box...The same problem with the same section as the one I returned. I'm returning this for a refund. No more. Two out of two defective items means they need to up their quality control. I need a cane to walk. The last thing I want is to be days away from home to find my cane doesn't work. After two fails, I've lost faith in this product's reliability.

Excellent Telescoping Cane
I needed a cane that I can easily expand and contract for travel (e.g., by plane). This can satisfies the need very well. The cane is solid when extended and easy to collapse. It includes a one-time height adjustment that was easy to do (just lift up a circular latch above the bottom foot, turn the bottom until the two metal bars click into place at the right height, push down on the latch, and then push in the metal bars to lock in place). There are only two minor issues. One is I couldn't care less for the reflector. I think the cane would look better without it. It also doesn't reflect well. (A flashing LED with button battery that you could turn on and off would work better, but there should also be a version that doesn't have either.) The other is the shape of the handle makes it difficult to insert into into a foam cushion as with other canes.

Exactly what I was hoping it would be
I've only had it a few days, so will have to update with longer term wear review. But in the short term, it is exactly what I wanted: a lightweight, compact-when-folded, very easy-to-operate collapsible cane. I'm not very heavy so for me, lightweight construction is sufficient. The cane has to be adjust for height just ONCE, which is extremely easy to do, and after that, every time you extend it, it will extend to the length you set. Cane handle is comfortable for me, at 160 pounds. The little reflector in front is corny corny corny; unneeded and almost embarrassing at how cheap it makes everything look. I don't care about aesthetics, but if I did, I'd mark it down a star for that. If there's ever a v2, consider removing that whole front reflector, and don't try to add any more gimmicks -- maybe concentrate on getting next-level comfort on the handle, and that'd be a killer v2

UPDATE: Major Disappointment - Can No Longer Recommend This Cane
Upon purchase in September, 2019, this became my favorite cane, as mentioned in my original review. However, it broke in less than a year of use. Each pair of adjustment/retention buttons is held in place with a spring that is shaped like a wishbone. The bottom 2 or 3 mm of each spring "leg" is bent out at approximately 90 degrees. This turn-out engages a hole in the rear center of each button, keeping the assembly together. The problem is that a spring can break at the bend, and its button(s) no longer function or remain in place, rendering the cane useless. This is not intended to be user-repairable, but I disassembled the lower cane section and mechanism, and replaced the broken spring with one of the others that I wasn't using. I needed the cane right away for a trip, but the seller is in Indonesia. The repair worked well for about three months, then that spring broke, too. There is apparently a fundamental problem with these springs The item description now states that the product has been improved as a response to user complaints, but does not offer any detail. Did the improvement involve these springs? The telescoping nature of these canes is so useful that I'm tempted to buy a new, "improved" one and give it a try. But, here's another problem. The way to contact the seller, Wheelchair88, is through a form on their web site. I did that several weeks ago. They have not responded at all. So, good idea, but poor execution and no customer service. The useful life of a cane should be measured in years or even decades, not weeks or months. If your expectations are low, and you can afford $50 every 9 months or so for a new cane, this may satisfy. If you look for quality and good customer service, it doesn't seem that you will find it here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After using canes for almost 50 years, and building a substantial collection, the Pocket Cane is rapidly becoming the one that I grab for daily use. It's been sturdy and the telescoping feature is handier than I could have imagined. I normally use a sectional cane, either an adjustable one that pulls apart (with a bungee cord down the middle) or one that screws together like a custom pool cue. Both types work when compactness is needed, but both break down into multiple sections that need to be bundled together. The Pocket Cane collapses into one manageable piece. It's also wonderful that it returns to your preset length when opened. Length can be an issue, however. Other adjustable canes have one set of spring-loaded pins, and many sets of holes. This one has one set of holes and four sets of pins. There is apparently a cam mechanism in the shaft that sets only one pair of pins to be active. The rest are flush with the cane shaft and do not engage the adjustment holes. This allows the cane to return to the preset length immediately. There are four choices for overall cane length: 32.7โ (83 cm), 34โ (86.5 cm), 35.4โ (90 cm), and 36.8โ (93.5 cm). I use a 36" cane - 35.4" is too short and 36.8" is too long. Even a half inch can make a noticeable difference. The adjustment mechanism prohibits trimming of the cane shaft or use of other tips. My solution was to set the length to 35.4", then cut off the lower I/2" of a Carex tip for 3/4" diameter canes, and glue that piece to the stock tip with some Shoe Goo. The diameters of the Pocket Cane and Carex tip section match nicely, so appearance is not a problem. Works great, although some cutting will be needed when the Carex piece needs replacement. The cane handle looks a bit strange, but I quickly began to find it comfortable. I'm not a fan of the big amber reflector, and may cover it for a uniform appearance, but some will find it useful. There is a small pad of grippy material inset at the rear underside of the handle that's very useful for keeping the cane perched near the edge of a table. The top section of the cane shaft is pretty thick, and the wrist straps that Amazon listed as frequent buy-togethers did not work. There is a large Internet store that specializes in canes, and they offer braided straps with snaps on the elastic bands. I've been using these for years, and one was perfect for the Pocket Cane. Easy off and on, and fits right. Finally, several reviewers have criticized these as being difficult or impossible to collapse. Actually, they're very easy, but the user must be pushing against the very bottom tip of the cane. The bottom section must go in first to free up the mechanism that holds the extended sections in place. My natural tendency was to push up on the section that holds the pins, but that doesn't work. So, a sturdy, comfortable cane that solves the main issue with sectionals. I've only been using it for a few weeks, so can't address longevity, but those weeks included trips to Savannah and Charleston, with lots of walking on uneven surfaces. If it came with an adjustment for 36", I'd give it 5 stars.

Too expensive for the quality of product.
The part with the buttons to adjust heights has broken. Unable to contact manufacture for advice to fix. Paid alot of money for 1 year of using it.
