Review: It cleaned my windows - Although expensive it did clean my windows . Beware the magnets are strong
Review: Not perfect, but better than I'd anticipated - Based on other reviews, my expectations for this were fairly low. I thought there was a good chance it wouldn't perform as claimed, or that it would be an enormous hassle to use. So, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, actually, it's really quite good. No, it doesn't get right into the corners of the windows. Yes, it's a bit fiddly to set up. And yes, it will fall off the window now and then, particularly while you're figuring out how to set it up properly, or if you try and move it too fast. But, it's the only gadget I've found that's been able to satisfactorily clean our high sash windows. And so, overall, I'm happy. Finally, yes, it is expensive. But last time I got a professional window cleaner in, they charged £50 for our flat, but the long pole they use to access the windows wasn't adequate to clear off the several years of grime that had accumulated. So, compared to that, I suppose the cost isn't quite so exorbitant.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this one work for a skylight? The idea being it is permananetly mounted, then once a year replace cloths? (35 mm triple glazed)**
A: Cant see how it would be effective as you need to apply cleaning agent to both sides of the glass in order that it glides correctly on the rubber blades. The cloths are used after the initial wash. 35mm glazing shouldn't be a problem.

**Q: How strong is the magnetic force? Is it save to take this product in the hand-lagguage into an airplane?**
A: Hi,
The magnet force is quite strong but it can be put on a plane.
When the magnets are connected their attraction is to each other and not to the outside.

**Q: I am wondering, if the magnet is so strong won't it breck the single-glazed glass window when moving the glider?**
A: The magnets are adjustable by winding the wheels in or out. For single glazed windows you would probably need to adjust it fully out, then wind them in until you can move.the glider freely across the window. There are.various strength gliders available on this product.

**Q: Hi there. This product has had mixed reviews. How do I know if it really works.**
A: Yes it works. I'm glad I bought this version with varied magnet strengths. It's easy to increase the magnetic grip if the outside part looks insecure. I just use the cloths with a weakish detergent solution first, and then rinse cloths thoroughly and go over the windows again with plain water. I was surprised with how clean the windows look. No smears. The extreme corners could be better but only the very picky would notice.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really pleased I took the plunge and bought this
*by P***E on 21 June 2020*

I spent a long time wondering whether to buy this or not. I read a lot of reviews and it was the clearly excellent customer service offered by Tyroler that made me decide to take the plunge. I could see that if I was not happy, they would do what they could to help. My windows are double glazed with an estimated 28mm width. From the reviews I decided not to risk the D3, but to pay the extra for D4 because I could see that it was adjustable and if I had overestimated the width, it would still work. I carefully followed all the instructions as I could see that some of the reviewers' problems were caused by not doing so. Spraying the cleaner on the window was an interesting initial challenge, but luckily I like to clamber, am fairly flexible and don't mind half hanging out of a window. I went slow but sure to start with. I didn't do the S-shape, I moved the magnets vertically down, it leaves an initial smear, but that comes off with the second wipe with the cloths. I fairly quickly adjusted the magnets until I was confident I was able to move them without them becoming detached. I really like the flexibility. Don't do what I did once and put the magnet without the string on the outside of the window! That is silly. Do check the string especially the knot as it arrived with a weak granny knot. After my first clean, the results are not perfect, but they are definitely good enough for me and I am delighted. I am so enjoying looking through my clean, shiny windows. I'm sure I could improved on the efectiveness too if I cared enough. The cloths with velcro on would have benefitted from better stiching and velcro on the sides too perhaps as they rucked up. I would have liked to support the window cleaner, but he just used a brush on a pole and water and the results were worse than what I have now. But hey! Not having my 6 windows cleaned for 9 months, I saved £90 which was enough to buy the Tyroler D4 (green knobs)
