However, the bulb says it is dimmable but it really isn't. If you put the range hood light on dim setting, the bulb flickers and is visibly distracting. I ended up buying the halogen bulbs that came with the hood and took out these LED. **Q: The halogen bulbs i'm looking to replace produce a lot of heat. are these a cooler alternative to the halogen bulbs?** A: Yes, cooler but do not dim properly. **Q: Would this be comparable to a satco halogen s2232 35W dimmable?** A: Yes.
