"You can't".Well, yes, you can. This set meets all of those requirements. For the price ($24.99 when I wrote this) you know they aren't going to be Signature Plastics level of quality. But if you want that level of quality you're not going to find them in SA profile -and- backlit (ie, light from below the key shining through).I bought these knowing they wouldn't be high end keycaps (you can spend -hundreds- for a single set of very high end SA PBT caps). So as long as you're buying these with the same knowledge you'll be happy with what you got.They "feel" light/cheap (most PBT SA caps are relatively heavy). They sound pretty light and pingy. But ... they're cheap.All of that aside, yes, the doubleshot material is also PBT. Which means they are very very easy to dye (iDye Poly). I've been testing a number of the caps I don't need (I'm using an 87 key board) with iDye Poly Yellow, Red and Black dyes to see what I can achieve. The dyes -also- color the inside PBT doubleshot so if you want to dye them you'll need to find a way to mask the inside or deal with losing light transfer. I knew that dying with yellow wouldn't make the keys lighter ... but it does a good job of warming up the orange (not red) color of the keycaps as they arrived.The inside white doubleshot PBT is pretty cloudy white. That means it diffuses the light from the RGB keyboard quite a bit. If you dye them then you may not even be able to see the doubleshot material except when backlit. You can't polish it back down because to do enough to get back to the clear-ish doubleshot color you will polish out enough of the dye on the main color to revert it to base orange/red color (unless you want a 2-tone keycap, which I didn't).Red and Black take VERY quickly to these caps. 10 minutes for complete transition with iDye Poly's accelerator. Probably didn't need the accelerator at all for Black.The orange/red base color is thin enough that the caps show a LOT of light as a glow through the plastic. Which means you get a mushy bleed-through effect when not dyed. Red helps force more of the light through the doubleshot material, so dyeing actually improves the backlit capabilities. Black (no surprise) blocks even more but starts to block too much from the doubleshot material.If the high end cap makers would do some SA profile backlits there would be absolutely no reason for these keys except for price. Someday. It's more expensive but the market adoption of backlighting is definitely to that point. Until then if you want that SA feel but also like backlit caps, this works.My plan is to use epoxy to add mass to the keyap, mask the epoxy inside with hotglue, dye (which will destroy the hotglue but in testing it does a decent job preventing dye from penetrating the epoxy resin for long enough to dye the outside of the caps). Then using a high viscosity paint around the inside edge past the thinner epoxy layer to block light bleeding from the base of the keys. Worth it? No. Works? Yes. With a lot of work. The epoxy adds weight to the cap as well as making them sound much more like very old keys.NOTE: You don't -need- to do all of that. The caps work 100% as they come. But some of us are going for a specific feel :)I gave 3 stars. If the doubleshot material was more transparent (instead of fairly translucent but still too opaque) it would have been +1 star. If the outside material (orange/red) were thicker to block more light and lower the sound pitch when using them it would bring it to 5 stars. Those issues will be there whether modifying the caps or not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent quality caps, terrible packaging *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 23, 2019* These caps are really hard to review. On one hand, they do feel very solid and sturdy, the have a slick feeling similar to double shot ABS (it probably is) and they're SA profile on the cheap. However there are a few cons that follow as well. First off, the abs used in the second shot for the legends is very translucent so the shine through isn't nearly as strong as my cheapo Bossi caps from Amazon. Secondly, these are packaged like absolute crap. They come in a double sealed plastic bag where they can bounce around and scuff each other, and not be pre-arranged for easy storage and swapping. This also makes quality control hard because you can't look over all the keys easily before shipping which can lead to mistakes. I actually had a few caps scuffed, but for 15$ it really doesn't matter much. Aside from those complaints the caps really aren't bad at all. They're just as thick as the vendor says, they feel good under your fingers and have a deeper sound than Cherry profile caps. They're incredibly tall as SA should be but because of that, if you don't have a wrist rest then typing on this may strain your wrists. They're THAT high. But yeah, hard to review, really decent value for the money, there's just caveats to them and a cheap way to find out if you like SA or not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not Red.
