I have planted birdseed in a patch of garden for years. The birds flock to it like crazy. The bees love it too! Sunflowers grow around the base of my birdfeeder every year varying from 3-7 feet high. Any suggestions as to why this could be happening?** A: The ingredients appear to be mostly wasteful fillers. None of the birds here eat corn, millet or milo. You are paying a lot of money for trash. It is better to pay more for quality bird food......this is not. By the percentage of ingredients, more than half is not edible by the birds I feed.....which are typical wild birds in GA. If people stop by in this kind of crapola, perhaps bird seed manufacturers would get the message and stop selling bags full of unedible fillers. I got more weeds from this type food than birds got food. Even if I don't refill, they just root through this rather than eat it. **Q: why do you double the price on this item every winter when the birds need it most ?** A: They double the price to get the most for their product from those who don't understand or care about the savings they could reap by buying it out of season when the prices are low. Why don't you buy it when the prices are low in the summer and store it in plastic barrelsuntil winter, Lorraine ;-)) ?
