Review: Perfect for Scout Camp - For Christmas, I asked my husband for a “bedside” table for camping. He got me this one and it’s great. I camp with my son’s scout troop about 8 times a year. This includes a week long summer camp and 4 day winter camp. I have been using my chair as a makeshift table for my phone and watch at night, but I really wanted a table. I wanted something that would be lightweight, fold down fairly small, and sturdy. This table fit the bill perfectly. It’s easy to carry with to my chair. It’s small enough that it doesn’t get in the way when I share a tent with other leaders. It’s big enough to hold my daypack, chargers, flashlight, and phone and watch. It is very sturdy for my needs. I’ll probably always have less than 20 lbs on but I have no doubt it could hold more. This is the perfect bedside table for Scout camp. You could put one next to every bed in the tent and you’ll still have plenty of space.

I would say it seems to be the perfect height for most standard size folding chairs and the table area is adequate for two people's plate and drinks for a meal. When it's folded up and the legs are fully retracted, it stores very nicely and is compact. I was able to fit it in a pretty small storage compartment underneath my RV. If I had to criticize it in some way, I would say that it doesn't feel strong enough to support a heavy load. For my personal use I can't imagine needing to use it for anything heavy but if you're intending to put say, a fully loaded cooler or something on top of it (which I didn't try) it may not support that kind of weight well. For general purposes and regular use though (meals, drinks, s'mores etc.), I'd highly recommend this table and am very pleased with my purchase.

**Q: Is the table surface aluminum? Will it hold up to a hot pan**
A: Yes, it is painted aluminum. I would use a hot pad or cutting board for a hot pan though.

**Q: Will this table work on slightly uneven ground?  Can you extend the legs on one side longer than the other?**
A: Slightly uneven ground will mean a slightly uneven table. The legs lock into place in an either up or down position. Great table though. Bring it with us to music festivals in the park, tailgate parties and the beach.

**Q: Is anyone using the compact camp table 25 with a Weber Q1200 on it?  The table top looks like it will hold the grill, but is it stable?**
A: Yes.  I purchased the 20 inch version of this table in 2017.  This table is a great match with the Weber for compactness and portability.

**Q: Has anyone come up with a simple way to hang bbq utensils from this table?   it's aluminum so can't use magnetic hooks.**
A: Try looping an ID leash with a metal cable to each utensil from the top bars, then you can drunkenly stumble away as people gasp in awe of your retractable contraption.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well designed, quick and easy setup/tear down, great design, and good quality.

This is my second one. I just plain wore out my first one over the last 10 years or so. It folds down flat, and is easy to store and transport. The telescopic legs enable the user to store it in a smaller space. I use it for public performances, and in order to bring everything I need with me, my entire setup requires equipment that takes up as little space as possible, and keeps my setup times to a minimum. It’s quite strong, and very light. Highly recommended.
