I don’t know,how it does for hunting, we used it as a turkey sound effect with a costume. It worked really well for that. It’s pretty loud. I've had a couple wear out after 4 or 5 years, but I've also had a couple last nearly 10. Given the relatively low price I'm fine with their durability. I do use them in combination with mouth and box calls because you can never tell what a turkey wants at any one time.
