Very robust. I bought the Jade, and the bowls are what I expected, color wise. All the other dishes are darker in the middle. Would rather they were consistent in color with the bowls. No breakage or chips, which is great: well packed. Should last well.Just a personal note. Don't microwave your everyday dinnerware. My rich sisters kids ruin $!000s every year of her Portmeirion doing so. One of her serving dishes cost more than this set. The dishes DO NOT get too hot when you take them out of the microwave. We’ve only had these a few weeks but we’ve not seen any chips or cracks in that time. One of the dishes seemed to arrive with some scratches but nothing super noticeable and minor discoloration due to the glaze not being even.The dishes have a nice weight to them. The mugs are a good size, the large plates are large but not too big for the dishwasher. The bowls also have a lot of room for whatever you need. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy these!!! You can see in the pictures how each one looks burned and each of the burn marks. They sent me one new plate, just today and you can see what a dif less than two weeks make. I'm single and there is no chance I've put more than a couple in the microwave so that's not it. The pic with two plates show a salad and a dinner plate next to each other. The worst thing is Mikasa says this is natural with any stoneware and won't replace them. Natural, yea right! I'm 64 yrs old and have had dif sets of stoneware for the last 30+ yrs and none of the others have done this. Also, 3 of the dinner plates were broken and they said they would send replacements and they sent one. Update, I got the other 2 yesterday. Again, I wouldn't buy from this company again! TO read their exact wording of what they told me when I wanted new salad plates, read on. "Dear Doug,We appreciate you taking the time to write to us.
