A: The installation manual indicates the maximum number of 700 Watt inverters in a string is 12. You will also need to add up the total Amps and insure that you have a sufficient rated breaker on the grid interface (Main or Sub panel). The math is fairly simple, Volts times Amps = Watts. For example, if your output is 240 Volts, you divide 700 Watts by 240Volts the result is 2.9Amps for each micro inverter. If you chain 12 in a string, you will need to use a 40 Amp breaker in your grid tied panel as you will be running 34.8 Amps from the 12 micro inverters. If you are going to connect the inverters to a 120Volt circuit, you run into a 40Amp limitation of the micro inverters and can only chain 6 micro inverters per string.
