When I saw that I could buy just the one to complete the set I immediately bought it. When these are in the ground and attached to my tent I don't worry about the wind taking it away. In a really bad storm nothing much can save a tent but I feel like these things do a great job. The stakes go in at an angle so they don't pull out easily at all. The kit comes with a hammer which is necessary to both drive the stakes in as well as pull them out.
