The maximum resistance is 1,111,110 ohms. Box measures 7.75" wide, 4.75" long and 1" high Review: Very nice box ! Years ago, I built the Heathkit resistor & capacitor sub boxes, still use them, but this resistor sub box, is more precision, with many more "steps" . Accuracy is quite good. I am very happy with it!! Review: Solid construction with 1% tolerance (more or less, averages out at higher decade values) 1 watt through-hole metal film resistors, high quality selector switches (knobs have a consistent feel with strong detents) on a clean PCB with the solid barrel safety banana jacks mounted to the box. Small silicone feet prevent the box from sliding around while in use. With the occasional use this will last decades (hah!) perfect for hobbyists and perhaps good enough for school labs. Mine did not come with any instructions, would be nice to have a digital copy here. Easy to use, fairly accurate, nicely made. My only small criticism is there is 0.545ohm of added circuitry resistance. This is not an issue with the higher resistance scales mainly on the Rx1 scale (i .e adds 0.545 ohms to 1 ohm=1.545 ohms, 10 ohm=10.545 ohms). The actual resistors utilized seem to be 1% tolerance. You will have these inherent resistances in circuitry (switches, wiring, circuit board etc.) so this should not keep anyone from buying this unit. It is very nice, just wanted people to know this happens and not a reason to return this unit. Capacitance boxes will have inherent small capacitances that typically only effect the very smallest internal capacitors.
