For whatever reason (I think I have one), I have never purchased a tinted shield. I think the reason is that they're pricey. It seems like an awful lot of money, and if one already owns sunglasses, then the expense is a bit hard to justify. All of that being said, I just received and installed my first tinted shield. I love it! I wear my clear prescription glasses for when the visor must be raised. Otherwise, I have a nice tinted view of the world.
