It doesn't make the room hot but it definitely takes the chill off. I already bought another one for this winter! **Q: What size of room will this heat?** A: Have a 12x20 bedroom with high ceilings (railroad apartment), Have used this for the past 3 years and it works well with door closed. Set it at 70 degrees. After about an hour I lower the heat or it shuts off. Probably getting another this year for the other end of the apartment. **Q: Is there an auto tip over off switch if it gets knocked over?** A: The one I purchased 7 years ago (it’s still working just moved it to my office at work) has the auto shut off if tipped over. 7 years later I thought I was purchasing the same exact unit since Amazon said last purchased in 2017. So I bought it thinking I would get the same exact one.. but it is not. It’s shorter , doesn’t display the temp of room currently and now does not have the auto shut off when tipped. So there you have it. Maybe they changed there product a bit in 7 years.
