There is a switch on the back of the turntable so you can choose auto stop or just let the album keep spinning when the stylus reaches the inner groove. That is even less than the renowned Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with the much less expensive (but also great) Ortofon Red cartridge. The only difference I can see is the heavier Acrylic platter on the 85 versus aluminum on the 84, and thus about a 2 pound weight difference on the two TTs. Maybe that is worth the extra $115 bux that I am seeing in the pricing right now, don't know.
