After one failed purchase of pitot tube cover from e-bay seller who claimed it to be compatible with 1/4" tubing but it wasn't, I came across this one. I realized, that I can make a 1/4 inch plug from anything in few minutes, and actually rather the nicely looking "Remove Before Flight" banner I should be looking for. And yes - the pitot tube installed on the nose of my ultralight plane is now (when not in flight) plugged with my own 1/4" plug, with attached strong, well made, very visible and beautifully looking tag with mandatory inscription "Remove Before Flight". It will protect the tube from being clogged during times the plane is not used.
