These tanks are supplied without reels so that a system best suited to the users needs can be built up.Multi-reel 3 - Takes up to three 35mm films, or two 120/220 films; Multi-reel 5 -Takes up to five 35mm films, or three 120/220 films; Multi-reel 8 - Takes up to eight 35mm films, or five 120/220 films.

Review: Great for volume developing - I bought this because I stupidly tried to dry my previous (identical) tank with a blow drier and ended up slightly deforming the center post. The reels would still go on, but the funnel bit would not. So to finish up my developing for the day, I was able to get this same-day Prime delivery which was pretty awesome and meant I didn't have to take a trip to B&H or Adorama. This 5-reel tank is ideal if you're doing a lot of the same thing - e.g. Tri-X in Rodinal. Note that you'll also want to get Paterson Auto Load Reel (6-pack) #120 - you can never have too many reels, especially if you like to get a lot of work done in one day. The reels dry the slowest and they're arguably the only part that needs to be really dry (otherwise the film sticks).

Coupled with Patterson ratcheting film reels, this tank is pretty great. Don't expect I'll be using my old Nikkor stainless tanks and reels much any more.
