I haven't washed it yet to see how it holds up after but for now, it is lightweight yet sturdy. It has a pocket at the top which was a delightful bonus! I have back problems and I'm a wimp so carrying a purse hurts and too heavy of a backpack hurts as well. The drawstring makes it hard for anyone to dig into the pack without my knowledge and it is light enough to carry anywhere even in the TEXAS heat! I just visited Memphis and the pack partied on Beale Street went to the National Civil Rights Museum, did a few walking tours, went to Graceland, and stood up to my grandchildren! I love this pack.
