Not so. I had been experiencing a steady stream of squirrels on my wooden deck. They run along the wooden handrail and sharpen their teeth by gnawing on it, causing damage. I anchored a tray to the handrail with screws and filled it with this product. Thereafter I watched tray after tray of this “bait” being devoured by hungry squirrels. If they returned to an empty tray they would hang out waiting for a refill. I watched this behavior through my kitchen window (10 feet away) for approximately one month. A very controlled situation. Through distinctive markings I recognized the same squirrels returning time and time again.
