It does start to fray a small amount around the last day or 2 and fades a bit around the same time, but I've had no issues whatsoever. The bump guard fit my Libre perfectly and saved me a few times after running up against walls/doors. I switched to Dexcom and the bump guard of course doesn't fit it, but I just put the patches directly on it and it holds SO WELL that even after soaking on day 10, it still rips the entire cgm out when taking it off.
