I was also running into an issue where Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze would sometimes show a blank map screen when I started navigation. To be fair, I had found workarounds for both issues, and after years of using wired CarPlay across different vehicles, I know these kinds of glitches aren’t uncommon. I prefer wired CarPlay anyway because I’m an audio nerd, so when I needed another USB-C cable I figured I’d try something a little higher-spec than the Anker. The specs are honestly overkill for CarPlay, but I had read that a higher quality cable could improve the initial handshake between the phone and the head unit and provide a more stable connection. Since switching to this cable, the startup delays and blank map issues have completely disappeared.
