Review: Good value and does its job perfectly - Fantastic tool for chopping hard to reach branches. Takes a bit of getting used to when fully extended but does its job perfectly, and for the price Iā€™m very happy with it. Review: Spear & Jackson 4945RP tree pruner - The clipping blade is loose and wobbles a bit, as though there might be a screw missing. I haven't used the attachable saw. Otherwise, all is good. ## Features - Pull cord ratchet action mechanism allows for easy pruning in four short steps, ideal solution for cutting overhead branches that are too challenging to handle with other pruners and loppers - Telescopic aluminium handles extends to 2.98m (117") helping to reach and cut high and hard to reach branches - Detachable 31.5cm High Carbon Steel Saw Blade for sawing and cutting through thicker branches with ease - Twist and lock mechanism allows the handle and pole to be locked into position when at the right height - PTFE coated for increased rust resistance and a smooth cutting action - High Carbon Steel Blades for increased strength and lasting sharpness - Tip: When you feel the resistance of the cutting action on the branch, release the cord slightly and the ratchet mechanism will click on to the next notch ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DK3JX94C | | Best Sellers Rank | 30,002 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 25 in Pruning Saws | | Blade Material | High Carbon Steel | | Blade Shape | Rectangular | | Blade material | High Carbon Steel | | Brand | Spear & Jackson | | Colour | Blue | | Country of Origin | Taiwan | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 113 Reviews | | Handle Material | Aluminium | | Included Components | 1 x Spear & Jackson 4945RP Ratchet Action Telescopic Tree Pruner | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 192L x 19W x 3H centimetres | | Item Type Name | Ratchet Action Telescopic Tree Pruner | | Manufacturer | Spear & Jackson | | Model Number | 4945RP | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Ratchet function | | Part Number | 4945RP | | Power source | Hand Powered | | Special feature | Ratchet function | | Surface Recommendation | Wood | | Surface recommendation | Wood | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Blade material:** High Carbon Steel - **Brand:** Spear & Jackson - **Colour:** Blue - **Power source:** Hand Powered - **Surface recommendation:** Wood ## Images ![Spear & Jackson 4945RP Ratchet Action Telescopic Tree Pruner, Extendable Long Reach Trimmer with High Carbon Steel Saw, Easy Pruning & Cutting for Trees, Twigs and Branches, Extends up to 2.98m (117") - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/615dqbS1-tL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### āāāāā Good value and does its job perfectly *by C***M on 7 July 2026* Fantastic tool for chopping hard to reach branches. Takes a bit of getting used to when fully extended but does its job perfectly, and for the price Iā€™m very happy with it. ### āāāā Spear & Jackson 4945RP tree pruner *by N***U on 29 May 2026* The clipping blade is loose and wobbles a bit, as though there might be a screw missing. I haven't used the attachable saw. Otherwise, all is good. ### āāāāā Good ratchet system *by J***Z on 10 August 2026* Works well on what I have tried so far - sawing is always fun, but the ratchet lopper is good where I've used it. I tried to trim the top of a tree which I could do, but can get a bit interesting on your own (gets pretty heavy when trying to get the branch on the horizontal and keep hold of the string/cable) Pity with the saw that there is not a good way to keep it on the tool in a safe non use way. Would mean it can all stay in one tool and not get lost.. I've done it, but it is not part of the design ## Frequently Bought Together - Spear & Jackson 4945RP Ratchet Action Telescopic Tree Pruner, Extendable Long Reach Trimmer with High Carbon Steel Saw, Easy Pruning & Cutting for Trees, Twigs and Branches, Extends up to 2.98m (117") - Spear & Jackson 6758GS Razorsharp Geared Anvil Secateurs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - šŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** ā€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - šŸŒ **Shop Globally** ā€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - šŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** ā€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - šŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** ā€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - šŸ”’ **Secure Payments** ā€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ā **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** ā€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/666617094-spear-and-jackson-4945rp-ratchet-action-telescopic-tree-pruner-extendable](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/666617094-spear-and-jackson-4945rp-ratchet-action-telescopic-tree-pruner-extendable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
