Really good value with active noise cancellation
I owned a previous version of the NC9's from 2022 that were a bit different than these, and as often happens with these little earbuds in a small charging case, I recently lost them somewhere, probably in my last hotel room. Beware of spending too much on earbuds - you absolutely will go through multiple sets of them. I was really happy with those earbuds for the price I paid at the time, which was a little over $10. So I figured rather than trying to wade through all the nonsensical marketing-speak on Amazon or the ridiculously overpriced offerings from Apple and other major brands, I'd just get the latest version of the same thing I had. And so far, these are pretty great for the price and a definite upgrade over the 2022 version. Now, I will say that while I'm not an audiophile, I could probably call myself an "audio enthusiast" and I don't think any earbuds from anybody sound all that great either on their own or when compared with decent full size headphones. That's one reason why I refuse to pay anything close to the $200 that's the standard price for major brand earbuds. These are tiny drivers using a low-powered DAC chip and DSP, getting a lossily compressed audio signal over a low-bandwidth wireless codec. It's just the nature of the beast. No earbuds anywhere are worth more than about 50 bucks, and that's with the profit baked in. Anything above that is just a name brand tax. (And these days, maybe a tariff.) But these sound perfectly fine for what they are and basically as good as any other wireless earbuds I've ever used. I did notice some sibilance with the default EQ - like most (all?) modern wireless earbuds, these accentuate bass and treble. But a quick adjustment to the high frequencies in the phone app (something that my older NC9's didn't support) seems to have cured that. There is of course still a bit of extra bass, but I'll leave that alone for now as I don't mind it. I can always adjust it later if I feel differently down the road. One minor quibble with the sound is that possibly because of that extra bass and treble, these don't get very loud. At maximum volume, they're about where I normally feel comfortable in regular listening, but they start to break up a bit before that. My guess is that Tozo has reduced the maximum output to control distortion, which isn't unique to them, but again, don't expect a high-end over the ear headphone experience here for 30 bucks. You just can't listen very loud with a lot of bass through tiny drivers like these without distortion. I don't think most people wearing earbuds listen as loud as I normally like to anyway. If this so far sounds like faint praise in a 5 star review, again, look at the price. You are getting a good value in sound quality, especially when you compare these to much more expensive earbuds that don't sound any better. If Apple were selling these and charging Airpod Pro prices, you'd be looking at a 2 star review. But these are priced fairly given their performance and the limitations of the category. Tozo also sells earbuds without the active noise cancellation but I bought these specifically for that, because it worked well on my previous NC9's and it seems to work at least as well and probably better on these. Keep in mind that noise cancellation in general was specifically developed to counter engine noise on airplanes. And that's still what the technology is best at. The way it works is by pushing out a specific frequency to act counter to the frequency of whatever continuous noise is present. It's not going to be very effective at silencing things like conversations or crying babies that are made up of variable, higher frequency sounds (because countering those would also affect the music you're listening to, not to mention using a lot more processing power, which also uses a lot more battery). That, again, is the nature of the beast. It applies to every set of earbuds that have ANC. But in terms of continuous background noise, such as from a jet engine or a loud fan, these work as well as anything else I've used. And I've used a lot of headphones and earbuds (as well as real aviation headsets) with active noise cancellation. The ANC also does not really alter the sound of the music you're listening to, which my older NC9's kinda did with the ANC on, and it's a pretty common issue with older devices that use ANC. Seems like it's more refined now and I don't really notice much difference, if any, in sound quality with ANC on or off. There was a time only a few years ago when you'd need to spend a few hundred bucks to get ANC at all, and that would have been in a set of wired full size headphones. Now we're talking about how well it works in a $30 set of wireless earbuds. It's kind of amazing if you think about it. I think real ANC alone is basically worth the price of admission here. There are a lot of earbuds in this price range that advertise "ENC" but that is not the same thing - that's for reducing noise on your voice when talking on phone calls. ANC is for listening to music. It's rare at this price, even now. For it to work this well is a huge bonus. Battery life is a definite step up from my older NC9's, although to be fair those were probably also just wearing out by the time I lost them. I intentionally tried to run these down while writing this review and after about 5 hours of constant listening, they were still going strong and when I put them in the charging case, it read 83%. Of course that's the total charge including the case battery, not the buds themselves. I have no idea how accurate that is but if it is correct, then that's probably more battery life than I would ever really need. (You can never have too much, but I can't think of a situation when I'd run out of battery life before being able to recharge.) I read another review where someone said the case on these did not close securely; that is not true. I'd think he must have been using a different version (the reviews here seem to cover all previous versions as well), but I had older ones and that case closed securely too. It's magnetic. The earbuds kind of pull themselves into their little cubbies if you've oriented them the right way, and then the case cover snaps closed with its own magnet. If the case is not closing properly, you're not putting the buds in the right way. They only go one way. You'll get it after a couple tries. Just take note of how they're oriented when you first open the case. Overall I can pretty confidently recommend these. Given that modern phones and many other devices no longer even have headphone jacks, you really need a set of wireless earbuds. Just get these; they're as good as more expensive earbuds and the price is fair. You can't say that about most name brand earbuds.

My New Favorite Earbuds
I actually love these, which was somewhat unexpected given the price tag. I'm not an audiophile, but I can somewhat tell the difference between poor sounding earbuds and decent ones. Trust me, I've purchase a few pairs of the not-so-good earbuds and use them long enough until I can find a better pair. The sound on these is not going to knock your socks off, but for the price, and with the EQ tools in the app, they've got decent sound quality. The fit is actually better than most earbuds that I purchase. My left ear must have a weird shape because a lot of earbuds fall out of that ear pretty easy, especially when I get sweaty or when I'm chewing food. I haven't tried intense exercise with these yet, but they did pass the food-chewing test. In other words, I don't feel the left earbud slowly creeping out of my ear canal while I'm eating, which is what usually happens with other earbuds. The earbud sync up to my iPhone quickly, and the tap controls on the earbuds are very responsive. I like that you can tap the left earbud to activate/deactivate noise canceling. It comes in handy when someone is trying to talk to me through the noise canceling; however, the single tap does switch you to Tozo's "Transparency Mode" instead of "Normal Mode", which mean the earbuds will amplify any exterior sounds which can be grating in loud environments. Just a caution if you have super sensitive hearing already. I can't speak much about how they work for phone calls. In a quiet environment, the person on the other end of the line has said they can hear me just fine. I'd be interested to see how they function in a noisy environment. My basic AirPods are still my go-to for phone conversations, just because I've never had the person on the other end of the line say they're having a problem hearing me, that is if the AirPod will stay in my left ear, which it won't whenever I'm walking around. The noise canceling is probably my favorite feature. I used the earbuds on a plane, and I felt they did an acceptable job of filtering out the plane noise and allowing me to enjoy my music and movies. They worked so well on a 14-hour car ride that sometimes the driver was trying to talk to me, and I had no idea he was speaking unless I was looking directly at him. The battery also lasted the entire car ride, though I confess I only had them on for about a quarter of the trip, and I put them back in the case a few times to recharge them, even though they weren't even halfway close to dying on me. When we arrived out our location, the battery life in the case wasn't even close to being expired. Finally, I can't speak to the longevity, since I've only owned them for a few weeks. I hope they last me at least a few years, at which point, I'll probably buy another pair, if the price is the same. If I get a couple years out of them, then they're definitely worth it. So far, they are my favorite pair of earbuds, out of the four I own

Inexpensive but won't last long
Update. Is it true they didnt last longer than 1 year? Yes. But then i tried to replace them at a similar price point and the competition is horrible. These are the most comfortable earbuds. The sound is really good. The noise cancelling is really good. I ended up returning 3 other pairs frpm competitors bfore buying the NC9s a second time. So FWIW these are great earbuds even if you need to buy them a few times hahaha. Riginal review: I've had these earbuds for 1 year now. They are inexpensive and functional pretty well for about 8 months. After that I started having issues with the right ear bud. It won't sit in the case properly so it turns itself off. Which then means I need to manually power it on every time I put it in my ear. Now recently its starting to not turn on. Ultimately these are good in a pinch but they are not going to be a long term product

Great fit and they work well
These sound good and the noise cancellation works pretty well. There is a nice app that makes it easy to customize your settings. I'm happy with the fit and battery life so far. I mostly use them for listening to music while working. I've used them while cutting grass and while they aren't as good as full earmuff style headphones, I wouldn't expect them to be either. They connect almost instantly to my phone when I remove one from the case. I'm very pleased with them so far and it's pretty cool how far these have come for the price point.

The NC9 is one of my favorite earbuds
Pros: For $27, the value you’re getting is well worth it. Great battery life, a cool LED display case, a VERY high IP rating (water resistance) for working out, ANC, and the TOZO app’s EQ customizability is awesome. The T6 and NC20 Pro are a bit louder out of the box, but after some EQ adjusting, the NC9 sounds so good with deep punchy bass. The NC9 and T6 have circular buds which I prefer over the NC20’s ovol shaped buds. I’m not a huge audiophile with a need for perfect sound. I’m more of a bass head who wants exciting V shape sounding earbuds for weightlifting, or to casually listen to music/podcasts at work. These are great for my needs. Cons: It doesn’t have the strongest ANC or the best microphones, and the case does not have wireless charging but I’m not too concerned about any of that. For $27, you can’t have it all. But they check every box that I need. Conclusion: They’re cheap and amazing.. just buy them lol they will either be you main daily drivers, a pair of earbuds in your rotation, or your beaters for working out. Either way, it’s a win.

TOZO NC9 Buds Are So Far Very Surprising And Totally Worth The Price
At first, I really wasn't sure what to expect for the cost of these buds when I bought them. They shipped quickly, arrived as promised, and came fully charged - though I still ran them through the recommending charging protocol. I bought these because I wanted buds that had a long lasting battery (10+ hour single charge even w/ ANC on) and something that was more comfortable & waterproof than headphones in many circumstances. The packaging was very good, with the charging/storage case, charging cable, additional earbud tips, and documentation. First, the battery life: HOLY LONG-LIVED LISTENING APPLICATION, BATMAN! With ANC off, I have steadily gotten the advertised 14+ hour battery life. If I keep the volume down around 27%, it'll go even longer. With the ANC on, I made it over the advertised 10+ with no issues. The case will recharge the buds a couple of full times, or a bunch of little times if you're like me. The outside view of the charging situation on the case is really quite nice. The fit of these earbuds is great. The included tip selection should take care of most anybody, and the preinstalled tips worked perfectly. This means the preinstalled tips must be a little on the smaller side, as I typically use small tips and earplugs. The buds sit comfortably in my ears without much adjusting, the weight is not very noticeable at all, and thus far I've not had them fall out a single time. I've worn them traveling, doing yardwork, and even sleeping. That's way better than any pair of buds I've previously had. I have dropped them a couple of times with no issues, but only on soft flooring. The storage/charging case also seems durable and built well to house the buds. It recharges the buds quite well, and the wireless charging is a plus. The touch controls on the buds are pretty easy to use in my opinion. I don't find myself accidentally touching them, but then I'm always careful to grip the buds around the outer edge with my fingertips, instead of trying to use the flat surface where the touch sensor is. You can adjust the touch controls via the TOZO app, along with the equalizer, noise control modes, etc. I find this to be really nice functionality to have. If you find the Android built-in Volume slider to be a little lacking in helping move the TOZO NC9 through their different volume levels, just use the Precise Volume app from the Play Store to assist with more granularity. I've found the volume and sound quality of the TOZO NC9's to be fully acceptable. They can get pretty darn loud, louder than I'd listen to them. There are so many EQ settings, I've been able to make any media I've listened to sound very enjoyable. You can customize all the EQ stuff, and there are community-built ones. The Noise Cancellation is good for what they are. I'd put them right up there with much higher dollar buds (easily the $150+ range), as they far outperform my Motorola Buds with ANC. The sound cancellation reduces more outside noise than my SleepDeep ear plugs do, without any media even playing. They're a little less capable with ANC than my Soundcore headphones, but I expect that completely due to the ergonomic differences. I've had a plethora of wired buds and "around the neck" bluetooth buds in the past. For truly wireless, I've had Soundore buds, Motorola buds, and a pair of Soundcore headphones. These TOZO NC9s are so nice for the price of them, they've replaced everything else I have except some specific use cases for the Soundcore headphones. As long as they last, I don't anticipate having to purchase anything else for a long, long time. I recommend them heartily, but will change my review if anything changes.

Im impressed, and likely a new loyal customer
For the price point, I am very happy upon initial reaction. These earbuds paired easily and quickly, pairing and playing sound quicker than I can take a bud from the case to my ear. The sound quality is quite decent. Bass is nice and doesn't down. It does NOT require the app which I love <3 the size is slightly larger to what I have been used to but the earbuds fit fine and weight is good, too. Due to this only being initial reaction, I cannot vouch yet for the quality of calls, water resistance, or anc function (but it does have touch control to toggle on and off, which I like) Prior to this I was buying JLAB AirGoPop for several years and they were steadily getting worse everytime I bought a new pair to the point where I was frequently making returns for defective products. I am thankful that my first purchase may be a winner.

Best for the price.
These are really good quality with a decent amount of bass. They're more comfortable than my Galaxy Buds Pro and have better noise cancelling when just out shopping, but they are waaaaaay worse with wind noise under my helmet on my motorcycle. The sound quality could be better but you won't beat it for the price. The battery lasts a really long time, I don't think the buds have ever died on me before I took them out. I would definitely order these again.

Richtig gutes In Ear Headset zum tollen Preis.
Top In Ear Kopfhöhrer. Mein mittlerweile zweites TOZO Headset. Danke TOZO, immer wieder.

Excellent Noise Cancelling for High-Noise Work Environments – Perfect for Mechanical Room Use
I use these earbuds mainly while working in a mechanical room where the noise level is very high—fans, pumps, motors, and constant background vibration—so noise cancelling and call clarity are very important for me. The TOZO NC9 surprised me with how well they perform for the price. The Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling does a great job reducing steady machine noise and helps me stay focused while working. It doesn’t eliminate every loud industrial sound, but it noticeably lowers the constant background noise, which makes music, podcasts, and calls much easier to hear. The sound quality is strong with deep bass and clear vocals. I especially like being able to adjust the EQ settings in the app since I can fine-tune the sound depending on whether I’m listening to music or taking calls. The 6-mic ENC call quality is another big plus. Even in a noisy mechanical room, people on the other end can hear me much better compared to my older earbuds. That was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to try these. Battery life is excellent. I can use them for long work shifts without worrying about charging, and the LED display on the case makes it easy to check battery status quickly. The IPX8 waterproof rating is also helpful since I work in environments with moisture, dust, and sweat. They fit comfortably for extended wear and stay secure while moving around during work. Overall, these are a great value for anyone working in loud environments who wants solid ANC, reliable call quality, and long battery life without spending premium-brand prices. Very satisfied with this purchase.
