Great for termite damage that you cannot replace with good wood..
This is great for termite damage. The putty is sometimes soft and other time stiffer so I dunk the putty in water several times while mixing and then you can make it as soft as you want. Make sure there is not a lot of extra putty out side of where you are putting it and you can use water to make the putty smooth out. If you have large termite areas you will need a lot of putty or you can start the fill hole with another filler and then finish with the putty. It dries hard and is easy to sand and the termites will not comeback to eat it. I have use wood Bondo and wood filler but I like the putty the best because you can mold it into any shape and push it into the termite damage to fill the termite holes. Also if you are working on eaves it won’t fall out of the hole as the other ones did.

Easy to Work With
Very pleased. Used this to repair a rotted piece of fascia board. Easy to work with and sand. The fascia board is textured was easy to create texture with a chisel and painter's tool. Clean out all the rot; if needed, add a form; fill with putty; and paint. Took about 1 1/2 two oz tubes to fill the hole. From ground level can't tell it's been patched.

Easy to work with, hard to color.
The color was supposed to be tan and, in fact, it appears tan until you manipulate it as required. However, once the two parts are mixed together, the result is gray, not tan. Exacerbating this, the product is advertised as stainable but cures into a hard smooth surface that does not readily absorb stain. On the plus side, it mixes, molds, and carves very readily, hardens quickly but not too quickly, and your hands clean up easily with soap and water, so it is very easy to use.

Compares equally to leading competitor.
I own a furniture refinishing business and I needed a lot of @%ickwood to repair a ton of missing chunks of wood on chair legs and table legs for a dining set. I ordered some of the expensive stuff and was curious about PC Products version. I read on their website and they look to have been in this wood "putty" business for a long time and they are here in the states. The price was a lot less than the other brand. I bought two of them and wow, it's the same stuff or close enough. Does exactly what I need it to and sands as well, stains the same and accepts lacquer perfectly. And when I say sands well, you who have used this type of putty know that it clogs every type of sanding product out there so that's a given, but it will sand. The point is, it's the same type of product for a lot less. I was even able to make a mold of some repeating shapes with it and made my own replacements using PC putty. Give it a try. It's a 20 minute dry time and I haven't seen a 5 minute one. That's ok, I always do my putty a few hours or more before staining anyway.

Neat stuff, useful around the house
Easy to knead and shape. Great for filling screw holes or strong repairs. Not very sticky, a lot like silly putty when mixed, but using a lot of force when applying will help it stick.

Worked Great!!!
I used this to fix an outdoor wood arm chair. It worked great I molded it smoothed it out and let it dry , then painted the area . It reminded me of playdoe in a way just a tougher version :) Just be mindful of how much you may need depending on your project . Once it dries it is very tough , sturdy. Easy to use though .

Save time and by the Mohawk brand.
Sucks. Thought it would be a cheaper alternative to the Mohawk brand, but this stuff doesn't harden. Same factory packaging just different labels. Applied this and the last stick of the other brand I had on the same project. Came back hours later, the other brand sanded down smooth but this stuff gummed up my sanding paper. I decided to give it more time and came back many hours later and the same thing.
