I don't want to buy a brita pitcher to use up my leftover cartrdiges.** A: No, sorry Brita brand filters will not fit. LifeStraw has a different filtering system thus a different type, size, and the way it “fits” into the pitcher is not the same as Brita or even Zerowater filters. I decided to keep my Zerowater filter pitcher after purchasing my LifeStaw and I use the Zerowater first and then pour the Zerowater into my LifeStraw pitcher since they filter different pollutants and parasites (LifeStraw filters parasites). **Q: Where is it made?** A: Hwaseong, South Korea. **Q: How do you install the membrane (long) filter? Water doesn't flow thru when I secure it all the way into the filter case.** A: At first I thought mine was defective because the water barely went through one drop at a time. The water has no taste and the jug filters well. It's not super fast but that's ok as the results are great. I read that some people have trouble with the filter being too slow at the start. I soaked my filter in water for five minutes before inserting it into the jug and gave it a bit of a shake so that the bubbles disappeared. The filter worked well from the start. The jug looks very modern and is easy to fill. I just add water when I pass the jug and leave it on my benchtop.
