My DIG, cannot. It jumps from day 4 to 7.** A: The frequency is set by the number of days...so 1 is every day, 2 is every two days, and so on. You can also set every 6 hours or 12 hours. And you have start times as well. **Q: how often do I need to replace batteries?** A: I set my system to water for about 20 minutes every morning, as our climate is pretty dry. Batteries normally last the whole season, (roughly 4 months) but this year they only lasted about 2 to 2 1/2 months. You need to pay attention because, of course, lack of water can kill flowers. **Q: Hi, Could you please let me know what size are the threads of the ends of the timer? Thank you.** A: Yes, The timer has 3/4 inch hose thread. If you were going to use it on the end of a pipe, there are adapters to get from hose to pipe and vice versa. It's easy to figure out how to use, even without the instructions, which btw, are very well written in Englsh. I love the simplicity of it. Just turn the big knob and set the time, how long, how many days, etc....SO EASY!!! I used a little plumbers tape on the end where the hose attaches too, and some on my faucet and there are no water leaks whatsoever. I have them both running for 3 hours daily until my gardens are done for the season. I can't say enough good things about this faucet timer. Love it!!!
